Purpose
Perform all activities necessary for Senior Structural Inspector.
Functions
- Surveillance of production welding to verify welds are being performed within the parameters specified on the approved Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Review of Welder Performance Qualification testing and records
- Verify that weld traceability is identified, maintained, and logged for inspection reports.
- Verify that welding is performed according to procedures, specifications, codes, & standards.
- Surveillance of materials traceability procedures and Positive Material Identification (PMI) Test results.
- Perform Surveillance of Radiography Reports and review radiographic films.
- Maintain daily log of inspection activities.
- Reviews job specifications and establishes inspection plans to ensure adequate verification of quality attributes.
- Monitors inspection plan implementation and modifies plans, as necessary, to maintain inspection continuity.
- Reviews inspection, testing, and surveillance results, including backup data, for content, validity, & compliance with project specs.
- Maintains a file of inspection, examination, & test documents.
- Works proactively with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor Quality Control (QC) personnel.
- To verify inspection and test activities, identify equipment areas of concern and prepare reports to follow-up and resolution.
- To comply with all Company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies, and procedures.
- To implement Company SHE Management System, Maintenance and Inspection Policies and Procedures.

Other
- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
- Reports to Project Manager (PM) as line manager. Project Coordinator will support PM on issuing instructions or communications to employee.
- Daily contact and technical reporting to site client contact or client Quality Team representatives.
- Employee shall report the results of all vendor and construction site inspections on a weekly basis or more frequently as advised by client for a specific task. Inspection reports shall clearly show the items / activities inspected, inspection status, acceptance criteria, and follow-up action as necessary. Inspection reports shall be in a paper or electronic format as agreed to by client.
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL
- BS in Engineering with 5 years’ experience or equivalent recognized industry experience, 10 years.
- API 650 certification, with 620 or equivalent LNG Tank experience.
- Extensive QA experience in responsible roles on major capital projects construction.
- Internal Auditor Training, Diploma, or equivalent industry auditing experience.
- Computer literate (Fully conversant with MS Office).
- Must be knowledgeable about LNG Tanks and field erected storage tanks construction, inspection, and testing.

Working Conditions
This position is considered ONSHORE WORKSITE which is characterized as follows.
- Outdoors majority of the time on work site, day, or night. Some indoor office for reporting.
- Work sites can be warehouse, yard, vendor shop, construction site, industrial city
- Requires working on or near oil and gas plant equipment, pumps, skids, modules
- During summer season humidity is above 90%. Noise can be over 85 decibels and the light is intense/glare.
- Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks/gases on adjacent work parties
- Potential exposure to airborne dust, fumes at work site
- Work surface is stable, height is elevated. Use of ladders and scaffold for some access.
- Confined space required but infrequent
