Bechtel proudly presents the Bechtel RISE returnship, a career re-entry program designed to support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 10-week returnship, experienced professionals who are transitioning back to their field after a career break of 2 years or more will benefit from customized onboarding and dedicated programming, and gain full-time, paid, on-the-job experience. They will have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return-to-work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions, participants will be eligible for a career at Bechtel.<p><br></p>We value career breaks at Bechtel and appreciate the education, work, and career break experiences that professionals bring to their roles when they relaunch their careers. Returnship positions will offer a 48-hour work week.<p><br></p><strong><u>To Qualify For The Bechtel RISE Returnship, Candidates Should</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Be a Saudi national or have the right to work in Saudi Arabia without employer sponsorship. </li><li> Be on a career break from their primary field for two or more years at the time of application. </li><li> Have prior work experience in the functional area of interest. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Project Information</u></strong><p><br></p>Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently estimated at 94% complete. The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system. Riyadh’s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality. We invite you to apply to become part of this very important transportation project and deliver this railway system to the residents of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<p><br></p><strong> Principle Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Prepare project controls plans, and detailed manpower utilization plans. </li><li> Monitor cost performance against the plan and prepares trends as necessary. </li><li> Assist with contract management and payments. </li><li> Work closely with different project functions to coordinate required data needed to conform to the overall estimate. </li><li> Assist with pricing structure development and application to takeoffs, derived quantities, quantity assumption, and cost allowances. </li><li> Assist in developing unit hour and pricing data for a specific discipline or another specialty, including estimating parameters, factors, indices, productivity, and craft distribution reference data, etc. </li><li> Perform data analysis, identify problems, and make recommendations. </li><li> Manage cost control by recording project cost and progress; directly interface with management as necessary for cost control monitoring, analysis, and reporting. </li><li> Assist in preparing cost data for expenditure and cash flow preparation and reconciliation. </li><li> Set up and maintain tracking reports for submittal of monthly progress invoices. </li><li> Plan, coordinate, and direct preparation of specific budgets. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Basic Qualifications</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) from an accredited university and 4 or more years of relevant experience. If qualifying with a Master’s degree, 3 or more years of relevant professional experience. </li><li> 2-3 years of professional experience working on large, industrial, construction projects. </li><li> Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, which include cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis. </li><li> Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong English proficiency. </li><li> Proficiency basic software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications to produce well designed graphs, charts, and reports to communicate with key stakeholders. </li><li> Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialised instruction or practical experience. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Shaping tomorrow together</strong><p><br></p><strong>Bechtel is one of the most respected global engineering, construction, and project management companies.
