The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.</p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>We are currently looking for a Strategy &amp; Market Specialist to become a part of the Strategic Studies &amp; Market Analysis Division (SS&amp;MA) within This Company’s Crude Oil Sales &amp; Marketing Department (COSMD), based in Dhahran.</p> <p>The SS&amp;MA Division is a vital unit that offers support to the business through various essential functions, including Market Analysis, Strategy development, Planning, Performance Monitoring &amp; Reporting, and Data Management. As a Strategy &amp; Market Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping the organization make informed decisions by providing valuable insights and analysis related to market dynamics and strategic planning. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of one of the world’s leading energy companies.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide expertise in a specialized area with crude oil placement strategy and market analysis.</li> <li>Focus on developing expertise in a specialized area to support departmental needs.</li> <li>Work under the direction of the group leader and/or department head.</li> <li>Participate in analysis and strategy development to address short- and long-term highly complex issues and problems as required by senior management.</li> <li>Mentor, train, and develop others.</li> <li>Undertake complex studies within the developed area of expertise that can impact the company’s present and future operations.</li> <li>Act independently with agreed objectives for most assignments.</li> <li>Regularly monitor the development of existing and emerging market trends to forecast their viability and evolution over time.</li> <li>Frequently direct and/or coordinate work task forces on special studies and consult directly with Executive Management on issues as they arise.</li> <li>Prepare and present plans, analyses, interpretations, conclusions, and recommendations to Management and others on a broad range of petroleum market issues as they arise.</li> <li>Provide expert advice and guidance on complex planning and analysis problems to senior planning and analytical personnel and to Executive Management.</li><br></ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.</strong></li> <li>Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or Engineering from a recognized and approved program.</li> <li>A relevant advanced degree in economics, energy, or an MBA may also be an advantage.</li> <li>15+ years of experience in the downstream petroleum industry.</li> <li>Extensive experience in the Asian crude oil markets.</li> <li>Assumed responsibilities including market analysis and research, refinery feedstock procurement and optimization, or crude oil trading/marketing.</li> <li>Mature knowledge of global crude oil market balances and flows.</li> <li>Understanding of pricing dynamics and structures in the crude oil market.</li> <li>Familiarity with methodologies of reporting agencies and exchange contracts.</li> <li>Knowledge of refinery and petrochemicals.</li> <li>Experience with linear programming and investment financial modeling would be highly advantageous.</li></ul>
