<p><strong><u>Purpose of the job</u></strong></p><p>Lead and manage the team involved in the overall relevant depot’s operation running in all relevant depots from an efficiency, effectiveness & cost management perspective by ensuring all people processes, workplace health and safety standards meet the productivity targets.</p><p> </p><p><strong><u>Key Accountabilities</u></strong></p><ol><li><strong>Depot Operations</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Own and ensure delivery of Supply Chain targets in all Depots, that includes day to day service levels, quality, and compliance measures.</li><li>Applying GWP in all relevant depots.</li><li>Coordinating and monitoring the receipt, storage, inventory, order assembly and dispatch of goods and to ensure stock control systems are up-to-date ensuring stock inventory accuracy.</li><li>Manage the WMS IT equipment and other machinery, ensuring all checks are carried out on time and records are maintained up to date.</li><li>Co-ordinate the use of automated & computerized systems, wherever necessary</li><li>Maximizing storage utilization and throughput.</li><li>Ensuring collaboration and being the point of contact in the region for the business for advice, innovation, guidance, and change control.Define and refine operating procedures and ensure training and capability building of all Supply chain personnel in the Depots (reporting ownership).</li></ul><p> </p><ol><li><strong>Planning and Development</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Managing the strategic capacity according to the depot’s throughput and the stock requirements.</li><li>Monitoring the depot’s stock availability and coordinating with the planning team accordingly.</li><li>Monitor planned maintenance of all the equipment and machinery in the central warehouse as per the planned timelines.</li><li>Responsible for the development of the operational talent pool in the Depots by optimizing the skills of the existing team to attract and retain the best talent (internal and external) in line with the agreed framework. Ensure succession planning is in place for the region to ensure key roles are filled and individual talent is recognized.</li><li>Effectively performance manage supervisors within each depot to ensure SADAFCO products are stored and managed in all the Depots as per agreed standards/timelines which would help the Sales to achieve their targets. Update the standards from time to time.</li><li>Develop and implement SOP’s, and ensure standards are updated, owned, and implemented in the depots.</li><li>Engaging in budgeting and financial monitoring.</li></ul><p> </p><ol><li><strong>Safety and Hygiene</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Collaborate with the HSE representative to promote and create a safe working environment for all employees within the Depots by putting in place safety measures that would prevent incidents and accidents in the workplace. </li><li>Ensure the facilities upkeep with hygiene levels meeting Food Safety Standards</li></ul><p> </p><ol><li><strong>Management Reporting </strong></li></ol><ul><li>Provide statistics & reports on a daily weekly and monthly basis on depot throughputs, slow and non-moving items, stock taking accuracy, product rotation and staff workload evaluation.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Job Requirements</u></strong></p><ul><li>Education Level: Minimum Bachelors’ degree in Logistics or Supply chain.</li><li>Minimum 3-6 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain and Logistics organizations with progressive track record of successes, preferably in an FMCG company.</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in an automated warehouse.</li><li>Must have leadership experience and be accustomed to lead large cross-functional teams collaboratively. Must be a seasoned professional who can align and connect functional partners to drive performance.</li><li>Experience with multi-site operations, supply/demand, & process design and implementation.</li><li>Must be results orientated with strong performance and bottom-line orientation with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding target goals.</li><li>Knowledge of physical inventory management (limited shelf-life products, multi temperature requirements, etc.), Advanced knowledge of warehousing and distribution principals, theories and processes</li><li>Should have a cost conscious / cost control mindset.</li><li>Computer skills (MS Office, ERP software/systems)</li><li>Fluent in English.</li><li>Willingness to extensively travel within the region (approx. 50% of the time)</li></ul><p><strong><u>Job Competencies</u></strong></p><ul><li>Pro-activeness and planning skills</li><li>Well-developed analytical skills</li><li>Excellent and effective communication skills: verbal, drafting, reporting and presenting</li><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills</li><li>Well-developed commercial business acumen</li><li>Ability to influence.</li><li>Well-developed (people) management and organizational skills</li><li>Innovative and creative</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and handle deadlines.</li><li>Cooperative and flexible</li><li>Drive for excellence</li><li>Commitment to strong work ethics, integrity and honesty</li></ul><p></p>
