<strong>Role Purpose</strong><p><br></p>Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics provides a data-driven decision-making support to the individual Service and Business lines in HWB and contributes to further shaping the performance management and forecasting at Central Level.<p><br></p>This Role will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data, to provide valuable insights to drive strategic and operational business decisions. The Role typically involves working closely with various internal and external Stakeholders, to understand their respective data needs and ultimately deliver actionable information to support HWB objectives.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Collaborate with business leaders and decision-makers to understand their data requirements and support strategic planning initiatives with data-driven insights.</li><li> Clearly articulate the objectives of the data gathering effort and identify the research questions that need answering.</li><li> Identify the specific data elements and variables that are necessary to answer the research questions. This includes considering both quantitative (numeric) and qualitative (descriptive) data, depending on the business model.</li><li> Determine the appropriate sources for obtaining the required data. This may include primary sources (collected directly from original data providers) or secondary sources (existing data collected by others). Common data sources include surveys, interviews, databases, public repositories, and APIs.</li><li> Gather data from various sources within the organization, such as databases, data warehouses, and external data feeds, including from Third Parties. Integrate and cleanse the data to ensure it is accurate and reliable.</li><li> Choose the most suitable data collection methods, based on your research objectives and available resources. Time the output and level of quality, as to achieve constant improvement, without holding slowing the business planning process.</li><li> Create a comprehensive data catalog that documents available data assets and their characteristics.</li><li> Create a and gain support for the regular update of data and assumptions, and manage the regular update of models and their consolidated outcomes.</li><li> Support the sector leadership and divisions in developing their respective commercial models and funding models, including identifying the best structures (e.g., subsidiary, JV, etc.).</li><li> Provide input to divisions and sector goals/objectives that support NEOM’s overall strategic plans.</li><li> Report and Dashboard Development: Create and develop visualizations, reports, and interactive dashboards to present data in a meaningful and easily understandable way. These tools should help stakeholders quickly grasp important information and make informed decisions.</li><li> Translate data gathered into financial statements; able to build Profit and Loss, Balanace Sheet, Cash Flow and consolidation statements through automated business analytical tools (Excel, MS Access, SQL etc.).</li><li> Develop a robust data gathering strategy and implement an effective data collection process to obtain high-quality and relevant datasets for analysis, decision-making and forecasting.</li><li> Extract data from different source systems, databases, applications, APIs, and other data repositories.</li><li> Convert data from its original format into a standard format suitable for the target system or data warehouse. Data transformation may involve data cleansing, aggregation, and enrichment.</li><li> Load data into a centralized data storage system, such as a data warehouse or data lake and ensure that data remain consistent and up-to-date across different systems, by making sure data are synchronised.</li><li> Enhance data by adding relevant and missing information from trusted sources.</li><li> Define and track data quality metrics to assess the effectiveness of data quality efforts.</li><li> Support the creation of a comprehensive set of financial, operational and commercial KPIs that allow the organisation to periodicall assess its performance and the maturity of its own business planning</li><li> Apply statistical and analytical techniques to explore data, identify patterns, correlations, and trends, and gain valuable insights into business performance.</li><li> Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to track the progress of business initiatives and identify areas for improvement.</li><li> Effectively communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions based on the data.</li><li> Support the division management in building and maintaining relationships and establish working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.</li><li> Support in inter-sectoral efforts in identifying inputs as it relates to strategy, planning, risks, etc.</li><li> Prepare relevant progress reports as required to update relevant stakeholders on progress.</li><li> Collate stakeholders’ feedback on issues, challenges and unmet requirements and develop action plans.</li><li> Ensure management is kept abreast of related developments, risks arising and progress.</li><li> Ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and trustworthy, leading to better decision-making and improved business outcomes.</li><li> Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle. Implement data governance processes to maintain compliance with NEOM policies and industry standards.</li><li> Support the design and implementation of policies for data governance and guidelines to support the procurement of external analysis and benchmark data.</li><li> Support the definition of roles and responsibilities for data ownership and stewardship, ensuring accountability for data management throughout the organization.</li><li> Create and maintain data standards, data definitions, and data classifications to ensure a common understanding and interpretation of data across the organization.</li><li> Define procedures for data creation, storage, usage, archival, and disposal (Data lifecycle).</li><li> Support the implementation of processes to monitor and improve data quality continuously.</li><li> Manage the metadata, including providing information about data, their sources, base assumptions to models, structure, and usage through formulas.</li><li> Stay up to date with the latest BI and analytics tools and technologies, and recommend suitable solutions that align with the organization’s needs and budget.</li><li> Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data analysis processes, improve data accuracy, and optimize reporting capabilities.</li><li> Utilize predictive modelling and machine learning techniques to forecast future trends and outcomes, helping the organization proactively address potential challenges and opportunities.</li></ul><p><br></p> <p><br></p>Key Stakeholders<p><br></p><ul><li> All Health Wellbeing and Biotech divisions</li><li> Strategy Office / Finance</li><li> NIO / NIF / Financial Services</li><li> SMO/PMO</li><li> Vendors and contractors as necessary</li><li> Potential partners and investors as necessary</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications / Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> 3+ years’ experience in Structured Data Gathering, Business Research, Business Evaluation</li><li> 5+ years programming in: SQL, Power BI and visualization tools.</li><li> 5+ years’ experience in cross-functional large data management and visualization initiatives in Multinational Corporations.</li><li> Preferred previous professional exposure to: Venture Capital, Acquisitions related to Services (no Public Services) Corporate Finance, Due Diligence.</li><li> The candidate should be able to demonstrate sound understanding and practical experience in gathering of Business Specifications and Drivers, external reliable and coherent sources of data, to support the business modelling and challenging of assumptions.</li><li> The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in shaping data into databases, create reporting and consolidated models and running the periodical process aimed at sharing the same with the Business.</li><li> Understanding business processes, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs)</li><li> Ability to deal with many stakeholders with competing priorities.</li><li> Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent listener.</li><li> Attention to detail with strong organization skills.</li><li> Team player</li><li> English proficiency</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Education and Certifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Minimum 8 years of experience with at least 2 years in the Middle East (not mandatory).</li><li> Bachelor’s degree (min. 4 years of University Studies) in Data Science, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Research or Business Management; Western Education preferred.</li><li> CIMA or similar costing, analytical or management accounting certification.</li><li> Practical experience in VBA, SQL, Data Base management and, major Data Visualization Tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Board); other programming languages like Python and R, preferred.</li><li> Practical experience with ETL tools preferred</li><li> Excellent proficiency in MS Office pack (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)</li><li> Exceptional oral and written communication in English</li></ul>
