It also serves as a primary point of contact into the Group PMO function, but it is not a dotted line reporting structure. This role does not manage a team at this time, but requires previous team management experience.<p><br></p>Responsible for managing and coordinating multiple technology projects simultaneously within the organization, the Technical PM will ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of these projects, meeting their objectives and deadlines. As a seasoned professional with a strong technical background, the Technical PM will bring in-depth understanding and expertise to the projects, enabling effective communication and decision-making with developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.<p><br></p>You will face the complex challenge of fostering effective collaboration among the diverse team of 80-some technology professionals spread across five countries ensuring that the projects are completed with the highest quality standards and in alignment with the organization’s overall goals. This role requires a task master who can hold team members accountable for their commitments and drive project success.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities (Functional Responsibilities)</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Lead the planning, initiation, and execution phases of all assigned technology projects, ensuring clear objectives, scope, timelines, and resource allocation. </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables while adhering to industry best practices and project management methodologies. </li><li>Help teams define staged deliverables so that work effort can be accomplished in sprint timelines while meeting business needs as quickly as possible. </li><li>Foster a cohesive and productive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration among team members across different countries. </li><li>Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a common understanding of project goals and progress. </li><li>Act as a safeguard to prevent scope creep from taking projects off-track without reworking delivery timelines and planning. </li><li>Identify potential project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to keep projects on track. </li><li>Implement effective risk assessment and management processes to minimize project disruptions. </li><li>Establish and uphold high-quality standards for project deliverables. </li><li>Ensure that all projects adhere to the organization’s quality assurance and testing processes to deliver reliable and robust technology solutions – including the adoption of test automations in all technology projects. </li><li>Oversee project budgets and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. </li><li>Track expenses and report on budget status regularly to the CTO. </li><li>Provide regular project status updates to key stakeholders, senior management, and cross-functional teams. </li><li>Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and decision logs. </li><li>Participate in the formulation of the company’s enterprise technology and business plans; assessing resourcing and delivery impact, providing input on overall feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of the business. </li></ul><p><br></p>Frameworks, boundaries and decision-making authority<p><br></p><ul><li>Reporting to the CTO </li><li>The Technology Project Manager will have the authority to make decisions related to project execution, resource allocation outside of sprints – but has input and weight over the prioritization of stories, risk management, and issue resolution within the defined project frameworks and budgets. This role will collaborate closely with senior management and key stakeholders for strategic decision-making and any major deviations from project plans or scope. </li><li>Weekly alignment session with line manager</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Requirements</strong><p><br></p>Education<p><br></p><ul><li>College diploma in a technology, sciences, arts, or business administration field of study</li><li>Bachelor degree with a field of study in technology, sciences, arts, or business administration</li><li>Evidence of continuing education, whether formal/structured or informal, in the field of project or program management, technical skills development, communications, and leadership. </li><li>Business studies would be welcomed</li><li>Software development experience, even dated, is highly desired. </li></ul><p><br></p>Professional qualification<p><br></p><ul><li>At least ten years of project management or program management experience with a significant portion of that time focused on leading cross-functional projects. </li><li>At least moderate understanding of software developed concepts through experience over the last five years working with enterprise, ideally on digital platforms. </li><li>At least four years of experience working with digital technologies. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Benefits</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Medical and Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths</li><li>Cooperation in a highly motivated, young, international team spread across 3 continents</li></ul>
