Inventory Accountant
Job Description
<ul><li>Maintaining adequate and accurate records of stocks (quantity and cost) at branch, warehouse, and consolidated levels. </li><li>Keep track of records of economic order quantities, safety stock and re-order levels</li><li>Keep track of inventory ageing, identify slow moving items, and regularly identify items requiring movement to ignore old, aged inventory</li><li>Getting information from Procurement team about ordered inventory</li><li>Coordinating with procurement, logistic and Warehousing teams, and support in making arrangements for incoming inventory items. </li><li>Liaison with the warehouse team relating to placement in warehouse and maintain proper, adequate, and timely records in ERP/inventory software. </li><li>Getting information from Retail and Delivery Teams for transfer of inventories to branches to make timely booking. </li><li>Maintaining complete records of the inventories at warehouse pertaining to quantities, purchase values and allocation of additional costs to items based on pre-defined mechanism. </li><li>Continuous liaison with warehouse, retail and delivery teams for inventory required at branches</li><li>Issue and maintain records relating to inventory issued to internal workshops for items repairs. </li><li>Independent physical verification of inventory at warehouse and branches/head office as per instructions from Head Office Finance team </li><li>Maintaining records of instruments and other assets being used as Fixed Assets in branches</li><li>Reporting functionally to accounts and finance department on all matters relating to inventory and fixed assets. </li><li>Coordination with consultants and auditors during audit processes</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>A graduate degree in commerce or in related discipline</li><li>Good communication skills, outspoken and has an initiative to do things on his /her own. </li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse and inventories handling </li><li>Valid UAE Driving Licence </li><li>Knowledge of ERP environment is preferred</li><li>Working or having experience in musical instruments/musical schools preferred </li><li>Should be able to join immediately.</li></ul>
