NEOM will be a hub for innovation, where established global businesses and emerging players can research, incubate, and commercialize groundbreaking technologies to accelerate human progress.<p><br></p>As the Mental Health Planning Manager within NEOM Health &amp; Wellbeing, you will lead and oversee the strategic planning and development of mental health services and programs.<p><br></p>Your primary responsibility will be to develop comprehensive and evidence-based mental health plans that address the mental health needs of the community.<p><br></p>By collaborating with stakeholders, advocating for mental health initiatives, and ensuring the effective allocation of resources, you will play a critical role in enhancing mental health support and promoting well-being within the region.<p><br></p><strong> Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Strategic Mental Health Planning: Develop and implement long-term and short-term mental health plans that align with the regional health authority’s mission and objectives, ensuring integration with the overall healthcare strategy. </li><li> Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of the region’s mental health needs, considering demographic data, prevalence rates, access to services, and existing gaps in mental health care. </li><li> Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with mental health professionals, community organizations, government agencies, and advocacy groups to understand the mental health landscape and build partnerships for effective planning and service delivery. </li><li> Program Development: Design evidence-based mental health programs and initiatives to address various mental health conditions and promote mental well-being across the community. </li><li> Resource Allocation: Identify and allocate resources, including budgetary considerations, staffing, and infrastructure requirements, to support the implementation of mental health initiatives and programs. </li><li> Data Analysis and Evaluation: Utilize data analytics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of mental health programs, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. </li><li> Policy Advocacy: Stay informed about mental health policies, regulations, and best practices. Advocate for evidence-based policies that support improved mental health outcomes in the region. </li><li> Crisis Preparedness: Develop and participate in the formulation of mental health crisis preparedness and response plans to ensure the region is equipped to handle mental health emergencies effectively. </li><li> Community Engagement: Engage with diverse communities to understand their mental health needs and concerns. Tailor mental health programs to meet the specific cultural and linguistic needs of different population groups. </li><li> Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest developments in mental health research, treatment modalities, and emerging trends in mental health planning to enhance professional knowledge and expertise. </li><li> Support in the management and delivery of sector projects, as required, </li><li> Support in the preparation reports for leadership on the current and forecasted progress/completion of key assets and initiatives, with executive levels insights on key assets, requirements, and risks </li><li> Plan and lead assigned tasks and projects, and proactively monitor and mitigate risks </li><li> Provide periodic reports regarding project progress, challenges, risks, and mitigation plans </li><li> Actively take part of and contribute in workshops and activities related to health system design activities </li><li> Support on administrative tasks as required for contract management </li><li> Assist in developing scope of work documents to support new contract establishment or renewal of existing contracts </li><li> Support in monitoring and evaluation of contract delivery and project performance </li><li> Support in all external communications activities (incl. internal/external marketing of the sector, maintaining promotional materials, developing strategic communications, etc.) </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Background, Skills &amp; Qualifications: </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> A minimum of 5 years of experience in mental health planning, program development, or public health administration, preferably in a healthcare or regional health authority setting. </li><li> Comprehensive knowledge of mental health principles, mental health care systems, and evidence-based practices in mental health planning. </li><li> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and promote mental health initiatives. </li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and making informed decisions. </li><li> Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation within the mental health field. </li><li> Proficiency in data analysis tools, project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li> Understanding of ethical considerations in mental health planning and policy development. </li><li> Master’s degree in Public Health, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Health Administration, or a related field.</li></ul>
