<p><strong>1. Role Objective</strong></p><p>Reporting to the Revenue Diversity Section Manager, the New Services Development Specialist will be responsible for growing the number of services ADDC/AADC offers to the market. They will research and identify profitable new services for ADDC/AADC to offer to government and non-government customers. The New Services Development Specialists will conduct market research, engage with internal and external stakeholders evaluate the attractiveness of new services, and recommend these to senior management.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>2. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities</strong></p><ul><li> Identify new profitable service opportunities that ADDC/AADC can offer to the market</li><li>Grow the pipeline of service opportunities to enable growth in diversified revenue</li><li>Complete technology, market, and commercial feasibility studies</li><li>Identify new unlicensed services opportunities that build on industry trends and align with ADDC/AADC capabilities</li><li>Develop high-level and detailed business cases for new service opportunities</li><li>Develop and maintain multi-criteria technology assessments related to networks and retail business</li><li>Develop models (e.g. excel-based) for assessing data and/or calculating technical or business case performance</li><li>Present new service business cases to senior management at ADDC/AADC</li><li>Identify and assess strategic risks with delivering the new services</li><li>Develop service concepts, including stakeholder, commercial and regulatory considerations, which clearly states problem, solution, timeframe, and resource requirements</li><li>Understand and support regulatory inputs to obtain consent for new services</li><li>Work with regulatory personnel and finance to develop cost allocation methods for new services</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p>In addition to the above, the incumbent shall also perform all other duties assigned by their line manager</p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience identifying and assessing utility services</li></ul><p> </p><p> 3<strong>. Key Business Interactions </strong></p><p>路 Engagement with internal SMEs to assess capabilities to deliver new services</p><p>路 Engagement with internal SMEs to validate market sizing estimates and benefits &amp; costs</p><p>路 Engagement with Regulatory Advisors and finance teams to identify appropriate cost allocation methods</p><p>路 Engagement with Retail/Network Services Delivery Senior Specialists to identify new service opportunities for existing clients.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Internal External</strong></p><p>路 Engagement with TAQA to present new service business cases</p><p>路 Engagement with consultants to support the development of new service business cases.</p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Performance Driven Organization related:</em></strong></p><p><br></p><p>路 Acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to the above, the incumbent shall also perform all other duties assigned by line manager.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Technical</u></strong></p><ul><li> Knowledge of utility industry trends – Advanced</li><li> Market size assessments – Advanced</li><li> Financial modelling – Advanced</li><li> Market research – Advanced</li><li> Strong communication, writing and presentation skills – Advanced</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>. Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p><p>路 Minimum of Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Finance, Business or equivalent.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Master鈥檚 with a focus on economics, business, technology, engineering, or science</li><li>Ability to work fluently in English (written and spoken)</li><li><br></li></ul><p> <strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p><p> 路 Minimum of 6 years</p><p> </p><p><strong>Optional Preferred Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience identifying and assessing utility services</li><li>Demonstrated experience positioning and delivering business solutions</li><li>Demonstrated experience in market research and market trend analysis</li><li>Demonstrated experience engaging with utility regulators</li><li>Sound understanding of networks functions (electricity and water) and retail functions (customer and billing)</li><li>Proven track record of bringing innovative ideas to utility business</li><li>Understanding of the UAE regulatory environment in the energy &amp; water sector (preferable).</li><li>Relationships with government and non-government companies to understand the needs and tailor services</li><li>Local UAE and regional professional network</li></ul>
