<strong>Summary</strong><p><br></p>As a Hydrogen Policy and Regulations Specialist, your primary role is to navigate the complex landscape of hydrogen-related policies and regulations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote the adoption, production, distribution, and use of hydrogen as an alternative energy source. Your expertise in understanding government policies, industry regulations, and market trends will play a crucial role in shaping the future of hydrogen energy.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Policy Analysis: Stay up to date with existing and proposed policies, laws, and regulations related to hydrogen production, transportation, storage, and utilization at regional, national, and international levels. Analyze the potential impact of these policies on the hydrogen industry and analysis models. </li><li> Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that hydrogen technology &amp; innovation projects adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and standards. </li><li> Advocacy and Lobbying: Engage with policymakers, government agencies, and industry associations to advocate for favorable policies that support the growth of the hydrogen sector. Participate in public consultations and provide expert recommendations. </li><li> Market Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the hydrogen industry. Use this data to inform strategic decision-making and policy proposals to accelerate the use of hydrogen and its applications. </li><li> Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with industry stakeholders, including hydrogen producers, suppliers, research institutions, and NGOs, to build partnerships and foster collaboration. Facilitate dialogues to address concerns and align common goals. </li><li> Risk Assessment: Identify potential regulatory and policy risks that may impact hydrogen projects and operations. Develop risk mitigation plans to ensure compliance and sustainable growth, including a close collaboration between technoeconomic and business analysts. </li><li> Public Awareness: Together with our marketing department, contribute to public awareness campaigns to educate stakeholders, policymakers, and the public about the benefits of hydrogen energy and the importance of supportive policies. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in energy policy, environmental law, engineering, or a related field. </li></ul><ul><li></li><ul><li> Knowledge of hydrogen technologies, supply chain, and applications. </li></ul></ul><ul><li></li><ul><li> Familiarity with regional and international policies and regulations related to energy, environment, and climate change. </li></ul></ul><ul><li></li><ul><li> Strong analytical and research skills to interpret complex regulations and develop actionable strategies. </li></ul></ul><ul><li></li><ul><li> Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders. </li></ul></ul><ul><li></li><ul><li> Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead initiatives independently. </li></ul></ul><ul><li></li><ul><li> Experience in advocacy, lobbying, or public affairs is a plus.</li></ul></ul>
