<strong>Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>The Senior Communications Manager role will support the Media sector and associated sub-sectors – Business Development, Screen Production, Gaming, Digital Publishing and Industry Learning, responsible for the development and implementation of PR, sponsorship and events programmes in line with individual sub-sector go to market strategies that also reflect the overall Media sector strategy.<p><br></p>The Senior Communications Manager is a strategic role and will take a supporting role in shaping and executing the marketing &amp; communications strategy. The role will involve delivering brand awareness and drive leads for the business development teams.<p><br></p>The Senior Communications Manager will also be responsible for working with 3rd parties that both the sector and brand teams have partnered with to ensure maximum amplification of the sector messaging to target audiences.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities &amp; Activities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Understand the overall business and go to market strategies to support and influence the development of individual sub-sector communications, sponsorship and events strategies </li><li> Establish and continually develop narrative and messaging, identify target audiences, and develop activity with specific objectives across different segments </li><li> Design and execute integrated PR, sponsorship and events campaigns to drive awareness, generate demand and convert into leads. Campaigns will likely integrate PR, content and collateral development </li><li> Lead the execution of PR, sponsorship and events programs from start to finish, leveraging both internal and external support and driving collaboration </li><li> Lead design and development of NEOM’s Media Industries thought leadership programmes including speaking engagements for Sector Head. </li><li> Support the content development of the Media Industries website, </li><li> Identify relevant events and the opportunities that can be leveraged via successful participation </li><li> Identify cross sector opportunities that drive awareness and engagement from both consumers and businesses alike </li><li> Ensure thorough understanding and knowledge of market trends/ emerging technologies to ensure NEOM offering is compelling and relevant, and sector narrative reflects and addresses market gaps and opportunities </li><li> Ensure that relevant systems are in place that help the flow of communication across the team </li><li> Effectively manage project / business performance by planning, coordinating, delivering, evaluating and communicating as appropriate </li><li> Working in partnership with agencies, develop briefs and guide direction to meet objectives for all public-­facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets </li><li> Create, maintain, and conduct ROI reporting and extract key insights for future campaigns, complete with recommendations on tactics </li><li> Develop and track department objectives and KPI’s </li><li> Manage the PR, sponsorship and events budget and procurement process including costs allocated to agencies and ensure spend levels are maintained within corporate guidelines </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills &amp; Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Experienced Senior Comms Manager with 8+ years’ experience in PR within a top tier agency or company aligned with one or more of the Media Industries sub-sectors </li><li> A proven track record in PR, sponsorship and event development and execution </li><li> Analytical skills and attention to detail </li><li> An understanding of media industry trends </li><li> Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas </li><li> Time/project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time </li><li> An ability to think strategically and come up with brand awareness/building initiatives </li><li> Experienced in agency management and internal stakeholder engagement </li><li> Excellent written and presentation skills in English </li><li> Brand budget management and procurement systems experience </li><li> Experience of working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferable however not mandatory</li></ul>
