The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences or a related field and will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic support activities within the department. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and advancement of chemical sciences education and research.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p> </p><ol><li><strong>Teaching and Course Development:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Delivering lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions in the field of Chemical Sciences (Life & Clinical).</li><li>Developing course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, and assessments.</li><li>Utilizing innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.</li><li>Providing guidance and mentoring to students, including advising on academic and career-related matters.</li></ul><p> </p><ol><li><strong>Research and Scholarly Activities:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Conducting independent and collaborative research in Chemical Sciences (Life & Clinical) and publishing research findings in reputable academic journals.</li><li>Seeking external research grants and funding to support research activities.</li><li>Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.</li><li>Participating in academic conferences, workshops, and seminars to disseminate research findings and stay updated with the latest developments in the field.</li></ul><p> </p><ol><li><strong>Academic Support and Administration:</strong></li></ol><p> </p><ul><li>Participating in departmental and university committees, meetings, and activities.</li><li>Contributing to the development and improvement of the Chemical Sciences curriculum.</li><li>Participating in accreditation and quality assurance processes as required.</li><li>Providing academic support and guidance to students, including advising on career paths and graduate studies.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>A Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences or a related field, with a focus on Life & Clinical aspects.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in Chemical Sciences (Life & Clinical), evidenced by a strong publication record and research experience.</li><li>Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level is desirable.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.</li><li>Proficiency in English and Arabic is required.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.</li><li>Knowledge of modern research methodologies and tools in Chemical Sciences (Life & Clinical).</li><li>Familiarity with the use of technology and software relevant to the field.</li><li>Commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and continuous learning.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Salary and Benefits:</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Salary will be based on the experience and qualifications of the candidates.</li><li>Accommodation and other compensations will be provided and discussed with shortlisted candidates.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>To apply: Interested candidates are requested to submit their CV and cover letter to </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>careers@idealmena.com</p>
