You will have the opportunity to be part of Deloitte’s leading Data Analytics team in the Middle East, and you will work on various time-critical, high impact corporate and financial crime investigations, disputes, and advisory projects in the region and internationally. </p><p><br></p><p>As a Manager in the Forensic Data Analytics team, you will be leading the collection, interpretation, and analysis of large volumes of data, leveraging complex financial or statistical modelling, fraud detection and other suspicious transaction techniques to address our clients’ business issues.</p><p><br></p><p>We are looking for analytical minded and self-motivated individuals with a passion for solving complex problems. Your responsibilities will include: </p><p><br></p><ul><li>Leading the development of data analytics solutions in support of forensic investigations, litigation, and/ or in responses to regulatory compliance-related inquiries. Including, but not limited to:</li><li>Preparation of data requests.</li><li>Preparation and enrichment of data from a variety of sources.</li><li>Data quality assessment.</li><li>Development of rules-based or statistical and impact analyses.</li><li>Development of executive-level reports and dashboards.</li><li>Analysing large and disparate data to support or refute the facts and allegations of disputes, investigations and litigations.</li><li>Managing modelling projects including model design, data preparation, model development, implementation, documentation, and on-going validation & optimisation of rules/ scenarios.</li><li>Conducting interviews with business and technical parties to gather requirements, identify risk factors, and establish metrics that provide enhanced visibility on control environments.</li><li>Helping clients to assess and leverage new data sources, techniques and technologies to improve business processes and compliance.</li><li>Contributing to impactful recommendations on clients’ operating models, including people, process, technology, and data considerations.</li><li>Leading teams to provide high-quality, professional day-to-day execution of engagements and projects in line with the firm’s risk management practices for clients across a wide range of industries as well as providing coaching, quality assurance reviews, time management, and ensuring constant delivery of high-quality outputs.</li><li>Perform engagement planning, supervise scheduling, coordination and administration of engagements.</li><li>Responsible for the management of budgets, cost-control and reporting any exceptions.</li><li>Assisting with the development of new forensic service opportunities to address market demands and grow a pipeline of new opportunities.</li><li>Taking a proactive role in developing the forensic knowledge base within the team and assist with the development of in-house expertise.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Leadership Capabilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Builds own understanding of our purpose and values; explores opportunities for impact. </li><li>Demonstrates strong commitment to personal learning and development; acts as a brand ambassador to help attract top talent </li><li>Understands expectations and demonstrates personal accountability for keeping performance on track </li><li>Actively focuses on developing effective communication and relationship-building skills </li><li>Understands how their daily work contributes to the priorities of the team and the business </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>A 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or above in a technical subject with a significant Computing or STEM element, or equivalent relevant experience.</li><li>Working knowledge of accounting, finance, statistical analysis techniques, forensic investigative techniques, and/ or anti-fraud or compliance systems.</li><li>Demonstrable experience and fluency in three or more of the following technical areas are essential:</li><li>Strong data manipulation and analysis skills (e.g. SQL, R, Python, Hive, SAS).</li><li>Experience with industry standard RDMS (eg. Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL).</li><li>Database design and development (ie. Microsoft SQL Server or IBM DB2).</li><li>Data loading and ETL solutions (ie. Microsoft SSIS or Informatica ).</li><li>Reporting and data visualisation tools (eg. Microsoft SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview, D3).</li><li>Scripting or programming experience (eg. C#, Scala, Java, Python).</li><li>Experience of text analytics through use of taxonomies, concept searching, machine learning and/or clustering.</li><li>Experience working with Cloud platforms.</li><li>Data analytics related working experience in one or more of the following areas: fraud detection, fraud investigations, anti-money laundering (AML), customer due diligence (CDD) and / or risk assessments. </li><li>An ability to present complex quantitative analyses and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior client executives, in a clear, concise and actionable manner.</li><li>Strong writing skills to contribute to proposals and the production of deliverables.</li><li>Experience in a client or customer facing role, and project-based delivery.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (Arabic is a plus).</li><li>Strong work ethic with a focus on quality.</li><li>Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking capabilities.</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>The Deloitte Forensic Data Analytics team has extensive experience in the industry, and, as a result, our professionals also have a deep understanding of both advanced analytics techniques and forensic methodologies. We help clients quickly and efficiently address their issues. We deploy sophisticated analytics approaches to gain a deeper and more complete understanding of what has occurred and how similar problems can be prevented.
