Job Description
<p>The Accountant is responsible for providing support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong></p><p>Senior Finance Manager</p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><span>Implement the Finance & Administration function’s strategic goals, business plans, budgets, and resources in coordination with the Accounting & Administration Director.</span></li><li><span>Implement policies and processes for the Finance & Accounting function to maintain efficient operational excellence.</span></li><li><span>The accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions and processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This includes recording the financial transactions of the monthly payroll, fixed assets, accounts receivable and payable, prepayments and accruals, banks transaction, and reconciliation. Revenue and expenses.</span></li><li><span>Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.</span></li><li><span>Assist in the preparation of monthly VAT returns.</span></li><li><span>Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field</span></li><li><span>3 years of experience in the field of finance, accounting, and cost control with a minimum of one year of experience in the real estate industry would be preferable.</span></li><li><span>Professional certification (CPA, CFA, CMA, ACCA etc) is a plus</span></li><li><span>Fluent in both English and Arabic language</span></li><li>Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals</li><li>Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)</li></ul>
