<p>Qatari Nationals preferred</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>ACCOUNTABILITIES</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Head of Public Relations (PR) is accountable for the successful delivery of the Public Relations by executing the strategic External Communication activities and all NOC events. The role is required to uphold the external reputation and public image within the stipulated budget, and publicly advocate its stated targets and goals.</p><p>The jobholder will develop a broad network of external stakeholders (media, government, new business opportunities) and organizations particularly at Executive levels to drive the Public Relations activities and raise the profile with key target audiences.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>JOB DIMENSIONS</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Head of PR is responsible for the delivery of External Communications, Social Media, Events, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and protocol. The job holder will oversee the overall external communications strategy, protocol plan and engagement with external stakeholders in addition to the crisis communication plan, which will involve collaboration with Emergency Management Team (EMT) and Crisis Management Team(CMT).</p><p><br></p><p>The Head of Public Relations is also accountable to prepare and implement NOC’s annual reputation management plan, oversee all external engagement and external communication activities.</p><p><br></p><p>Head of Public Relations maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business activities in general, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition and exemplify and encourage corporate values and behaviors.</p><p><br></p><p>The position will be responsible for three direct reports.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>ACTIVITIES</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Manage the overall external communications strategy and action plans to increase the reach and quality of our communications and create better awareness of our activities.</p><p>Formulate external and innovative positioning activities to achieve a competitive edge in the market</p><p>Oversee external communications media platforms to include the corporate narrative and content.</p><p>Ensure the development of external stakeholder engagement plan and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders</p><p>Maintain strong relationships with business leaders and identifying key strategic projects</p><p>Identify scope for corporate advertising, managing suppliers, contractual agreements and overseeing the delivery of required work</p><p>Develop and execute the CSR strategy for NOC</p><p>Oversee and ensure competitive corporate rates are in place as part of the employee benefits program</p><p>Ensure corporate collateral is adequate to implement NOC’s business requirements</p><p>Develop and maintain related budgets assigned by Public Relations and Communications Manager.</p><p>Accountable and responsible to oversee events, sponsorships, campaigns and activations to the highest quality</p><p>Support the Public Relations &amp; Communications Manager in the planning and executions of key strategic, tactical and day-to-day communications</p><p>Implement effective processes and workflows to meet the organizational needs</p><p>Identify and drive the delivery of team KPIs to ensure the business objectives are achieved</p><p>Work collaboratively with the Public Relations &amp; Communication Manager and section heads to ensure the effective delivery of a joined up internal and external key objectives and tactical day-to-day requirements</p><p>Manage, motivate, coach and develop the team to deliver agreed individual objectives which will foster a culture of continuous improvement</p><p>Develop and upskill national team members to assume higher roles</p><p>Proactively demonstrate leadership through personal high standards of quality and service, aligned to NOC company culture. Exemplify and encourage corporate values and behaviors.</p><p>Participate fully in crisis response training and assist during emergency response situations if required(on/offshore)</p><p>Ensure cost efficiencies in all cost related activities</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>CONTEXT &amp; ENVIRONMENT</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Role is based in the NOC main office (onshore)</p><p>Offshore visits expected.</p><p>Emergency Response Team member</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications</p><p>Degree in B.A/B.S in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications or studying towards a Master’s degree qualification in a similar discipline.</p><p><br></p><p>Experience:</p><p>Over 10 years of experience in a similar role and 5 years in the oil and gas Industry</p><p>Experience in crisis communication</p><p>Excellent verbal and written skills in English. Arabic would be advantageous.</p><p>Self-motivated and committed to producing high quality work 6.
