<p><strong>Sports Physiotherapist</strong></p><p><strong>Medical City for Military and Security Services </strong></p><p><strong>Muscat, Sultanate of Oman</strong></p><p> </p><p>The Medical City for Military and Security Services (MCMSS) in Muscat, Oman is a Tertiary/Quaternary Care level city providing services to patients of different age groups in different specialties. </p><p> </p><p>MCMSS is seeking to appoint<strong> Sports Physiotherapist, </strong>who is well trained and highly motivated individual to develop his/her professional career within the MCMSS. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Education/Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>MSc in Sports Physiotherapy</li><li>Been working in the same field not less than 5 years after post graduate certification</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Experience Post-Qualifications:</strong></p><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Intensive education and clinical expertise</li><li>Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.</li><li>Current knowledge of treatment practices</li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Valid BLS certificate</li></ul><p> </p><p>Core dimensions of the Ethics and Code of Conduct for Physiotherapy.</li><li>Works as a team member, in a manner that best serves patients’ interests.</li><li>Understands and follows the rules and regulations, and to demonstrate positive attitude when it comes to additional duties required by the head of department or hospital director.</li><li>Demonstrates professionalism in a manner that make his/her a role model and a mentor for junior colleagues.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Responsibilities Clinical Patient management:</p><ul><li>Responsible for organizing the overall patient management in a safe, compassionate, and ethical manner and with compliance with the Medical Ethics and Code of Conduct for Physiotherapists.</li><li>Works according to the management plan approved by the senior members of the team.</li><li>Implements modifications of patient management in an appropriate and timely manner.</li><li>Participates in departmental and inter departmental clinical meetings to ensure comprehensive patient management</li><li>Participates with the Physiotherapist in ward rounds/ meeting, home visits, and records the progress noted about patients’ conditions.</li><li>Rotates independently and perform tasks and duties assigned according to established physiotherapy protocol and procedures.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Relation to other hospital departments/units:</p><ul><li>Patients records: Maintains patients’ medical records.</li><li>Hospital clinical activities: Organizes and participates in departmental and inter-departmental clinical meetings, as may be necessary for comprehensive patient management.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Management/ Leadership: </p><ul><li>Maintains records meeting minutes and all other administrative departmental activities.</li><li>Delegate duties to maintain smooth running of physiotherapy services.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Teaching: </p><ul><li>Participates in Continuous Medical Education (CME) activities conducted by the department, hospital, or other healthcare institutions within the limits allowed by the hospital management.</li><li>Participates in the CME activities organized by the department/hospital.</li><li>Transfers up-to-date, comprehensive, and in-depth knowledge to colleagues and students.</li><li>Capable of teaching Physiotherapy students and participating in health education for patients and their families.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Professional development:</p><ul><li>Ensures successful participation in the mandatory courses and maintains a record of such participations as requested by health institution.</li><li>Ensures to keep abreast with latest developments in his/her area, and maintains a track of CME/CPD.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Research: </p><p>Participates in research activities within the department, able to understand a research study and implement the results to the clinical practice.</p><p> </p><p>Appraisal:</p><p>Appraisals are performed at least once a year by immediate supervisor, followed by a time frame development plan based on the appraisal report signed by the post holder and the immediate supervisor. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Job Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Technical Expert in own domain including training, management, leadership, and innovation.</li><li>Performs any other duties or activities deemed necessary by relevant authorities to meet the requirement of safe and effective performance of their role.</li><li>Participates in the performance of activities of professional nature that requires the use of equipment, instruments, or tools and the acquisition of technical competence demonstrated by practice and training.</li><li>Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of MCMSS.</li><li>Performs all duties assigned to his/her designation.</li><li>Performs all relevant interventions related to his/her field of specialization.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the chairperson/ head of the department.</li><li>Overtime: May be required but will be agreed, authorised and requested in advance.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Salary will be based upon
