<strong>Summary</strong><p><br></p>The Localization Manager is responsible for implementing the Water Sector strategy regarding localization initiatives in NEOM. This includes attracting manufacturers, solution providers, innovators, and industrial partners across the value chains of desalination and brine processing, smart water, and reuse and recovery. The focus is on attracting foreign entities to establish a local presence, with the goal of creating jobs and corresponding GDP contributions, as well as the manufacture of local products and provision of services which can be sold into the local (NEOM) market, and exported to regional and global markets.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> The successful candidate will work directly with Business Development Director and project leaders to support the localization growth of the Water sector. Localization initiatives to focus on service providers, industrial manufacturers and innovation partners </li><li> Conduct market studies of technology trends, adoptions and local/regional demands that support localization </li><li> Identify business opportunities for new products &amp; services that incorporate the use of advanced technologies in the fields of high recovery desalination, advanced mineral recovery, smart water systems, and water reuse/recycling systems </li><li> Evaluate initiatives, develop full business cases, establish partnership structures, identify funding mechanisms, conduct due diligence as required, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, prepare presentations to sector and executive level personnel. </li><li> Coordinate with other relevant departments and stakeholders as necessary (including water innovation hub, desalination and brine processing departments, water management department, water recycling department, and industrial tenant attraction group) to ensure all aspects of each initiative are compatible and fit for purpose to meet the Sector Strategy </li><li> Drive partnerships to localize strategic components and services to accelerate the development of the Sector’s Water Solutions Company </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills &amp; Experience</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> 10-15 years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting, particularly within the water industry </li><li> Good business and commercial acumen </li><li> Strong written and verbal delivery skills </li><li> Strong commercial sense and technical background </li><li> Innovative approach </li><li> Dynamic, eager </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering </li><li> MBA seen as favourable</li></ul>
