<strong>Summary</strong><p><br></p>NEOM Hydrogen Team is developing strategies and technologies for green hydrogen production, production of e-fuels, utilization of green fuels, and other circular carbon economy technologies. The applicant will work within the Technology and Innovation team to develop and demonstrate technologies related to hydrogen production via water electrolysis. The candidate will focus on new types of electrolyzer technologies with a focus on finding opportunities for localization and manufacturing. The candidate will also be involved in projects that implies the use of electrolyzer technologies.<p><br></p><strong>Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Support in developing and implementing electrolyzer technologies in different projects that imply the use of electrolyzer technologies within NEOM (including the Hydrogen and Innovation Development Center, H2 and e-fuels Applied Research Institute) </li><li> Electrolyzer technology scouting &amp; selection, business case development and developing implementation plan </li><li> Investigate and identify novel electrolyzer technologies including new materials, catalysts, and system designs </li><li> Research and identify new electrolyzer business opportunities, growth areas, trends, and potential partners </li><li> Support in the projects for electrolyzer manufacturing </li><li> Coordinate with other sectors and regional proponents </li><li> Monitor project progress and issue status reports </li><li> Ensure alignment between sector strategy and investors’ goals </li><li> Assist in the investment opportunities by providing technical expertise </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Background, Skills</strong><p><br></p><strong> Role specific requirements </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Experience with electrolyzer technologies, including alkaline, polymer electrolyte membrane, anion exchange membrane, and solide oxide systems </li><li> Experience with development and deployment of electrolyzer technologies </li><li> Expertise in electrolyzer single cell, stack, and system design </li><li> Ability to take guidance from leadership and refine strategic directions accordingly </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>General Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Strong communication skills </li><li> Creativity in innovation and technology selection </li><li> Ability and willingness to travel when necessary </li><li> Able to work independently without supervision </li><li> Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal </li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li> Ability to be a team player that motivates and educates other team members and comprehends complex, technical subjects </li><li> Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelor’s degree of Engineering or similarly relevant subject </li><li> Master or Doctorate in area of relevance will be considered valuable</li></ul>
