Why work at WebXT<br><br>Inside Microsoft’s Web Experiences Team<br><br>The content moderation &amp; understanding team in Cairo, Egypt is seeking senior applied scientists to join its growing team in Cairo. Content moderation is part of the content moderation &amp; understanding team under content services in the WebXT organization. The content moderation team has a mission of providing a safe and harm free environment for the Microsoft daily news &amp; feeds millions of customers who utilize the platform. The team builds AI models and the enabling platform to detect any harmful content be it hate speech, bullying and harassment, inappropriate content be it in text, image or videos.<br><br><strong><u>Responsibilities<br></u></strong><ul><li>Discover and apply insights from massive data sets of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.</li><li>Identify opportunities to leverage available data to resolve customer pain points.</li><li>Own data science projects end to end starting from problem definition, data exploration/preparation, model building, and model evaluation.</li><li>Prototype and rapidly evaluate creative ideas to gain insights into their strengths and weaknesses.</li><li>Storytelling and visualization capabilities to deliver the right message to the concerned audience.</li><li>Design metrics that serve as the North Stars for team efforts and A/B testing framework to support data-driven decisions.<br></li></ul><strong><u>Qualifications<br></u></strong><ul><li>BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines.</li><li>Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.</li><li>Data-centric &amp; Analytical Mindset.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to learn quickly, work independently in complex situations, and deal with ambiguity.</li><li>Fluency with programming languages: C# preferred</li><li>Fluency with scripting language: Python preferred</li><li>Understanding of big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or Cassandra.</li><li>Understanding of cloud platforms: Azure, IBM, or Google.</li><li>Understanding of data analytics/visualization tools: PowerBi, Tableau.</li><li>Understanding of database systems: SQL and NoSQL.</li><li>Understanding of ML frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Caffe<br></li></ul>Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
