If yes, please keep reading – this role might be just for you!<p><br></p>Apply now and join us in life-changing career!<p><br></p>By joining Novo Nordisk, you will have great opportunity to make a significant difference to drive the change and help improving patients’ lives around the world.<p><br></p><strong><u>The Position</u></strong><p><br></p>As our Environmental Health, Safety &amp; Sustainability (EHSS) Manager you will be the main entry point for all matters related to the environmental &amp; sustainability impact from the affiliate &amp; the health &amp; safety of employees at work.<p><br></p><strong><u>Your Main Accountabilities Will Be</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li>support and coordinate programs and activities with respect to EHS services and Sustainability Initiatives in relation with Circular for Zero (C4Z) strategy. </li><li>proactively promote protection of human health and the environment by maintaining and exceeding regulatory compliance.</li><li>take decisive actions to further promote the sustainability agenda and lead implementation programs ensuring compliance with standards and KPI’s.</li><li>conduct periodic audits to evaluate compliance with established policies, procedures, &amp; local regulations.</li><li>areas of responsibility include compliance for air emissions, wastewater effluent, workplace safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous waste, emergency response, security, transportation of hazardous materials, and risk management.</li></ul><p><br></p>This list is not all inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the business.<p><br></p>The local EHSS Manager will be based in the Affiliate and will mainly work in the local region. This role requires traveling.<p><br></p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong><p><br></p>To be successful in this role we you need to have:<p><br></p><ul><li>Academic background as Engineer, or within Health &amp; Safety or environment/energy.</li><li>Education and/or experience within management systems is an advantage (e.g., ISO14001 and ISO 45001).</li><li>5+ years of experience within EHS management (environment health safety) from a pharmaceutical production or as a consultant.</li><li>Solid knowledge of EHS &amp; sustainability aspects and local legislation.</li><li>Knowledge of EHS hazards, impact assessment and risk controls including priority of control measures – relating to daily operations &amp; maintenance.</li><li>Ability to understand Line of Business priorities and operations and relate to EHS &amp; Sustainability and experience with management exposure.</li><li>Written and verbal English at upper-intermediate level is a must.</li><li>Advanced PC user (MS Office; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint …).</li></ul><p><br></p>On a personal level you need to have excellent communication skills and you have to be self- motivated and work independently. You need to have ability to collaborate across boundaries – at all levels with all types of positions – individual as well as in teams with a global and open mind-set.
