<p><strong>Job Purpose:<br></strong><br>The role seeks a focused Head of Electronic Credit trading to work within Global Markets.The role will report to the Credit Trading Managing Director and will be primarily focused on developing the strategy, spearheading the build out and coordinating the distribution of the electronic trading capabilities of the credit trading operations.Candidate should develop a full range of electronic market making capabilities and workflow solutions to showcase and distribute our MENA/GCC/EM credit offering specically. The Head of Electronic Credit Trading will need to ensure that any new initiative, product and channel that credit trading develops and offers satisfies the strategic goals of FAB globally, meet client requirements and strive to put FAB at the forefront of innovations within its chosen marketsThe candidate will show strength in strategic thinking to create value added and revenue generating electronic Credit tools for external clients, internal stakeholders within Global Markets or Intra-Bank departmental units. At all times, the Head of Electronic Credit trading will represent FAB and showcase FABs Fixed Income Trading capability across all our key markets, in line with the Bank’s vision and expectations and the directives The candidate should be motivated to succeed and drive business via the electronic channels.<br><br><br><br><strong>Key Accountabilities:<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for contribution towards credit trading p&amp;L through the provision of electronic trading solutions</li><li>Responsible for managing end-to-end electronic credit trading solutions – this includes sourcing &amp; selection of trading technologies, development and management of electronic trading liquidity pools, as well as formulation of business and product strategy pertaining to electronic credit trading</li><li>Lead coverage and distribution engagement on electronic credit trading through products talks/updates, and relevant preparatory calls. In this In this context, contribute through thought leadership.</li><li>Opportunistically, speak at investment industry’s thought leadership roundtables and forums/conferences on topics relating to electronic credit trading, including regulations, products development, client centricity, digital transaformation with reference to machine learning and AI, among others.</li></ul><p><br><br><br><br></p><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><p><strong>Experience<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Proven track record of building &amp; running a credit trading electronic trading business</li><li>History of working across business lines &amp; regions to develop institutional client relationships</li><li>Strong client relationships and global network of industry connections developed over time, through experience acquired in sales and business development roles</li><li>Knowledge of and experience in finance, sales, technology sourcing, selection, development, project management and marketing</li><li>Demonstrates sound accounting knowledge when reviewing financial statements.</li><li>Deep understanding of fixed income market (I.e rules, and regulations applicable to electronic credit trading) and credit analysis on an ongoing basis on both internal and external clients.</li><li>Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, including senior management</li><li>Highly organized and efficient, with ability to multi-task and able to meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Team player with a positive disposition who works extremely well with subordinates, engagement of peers and superiors as well as clients as appropriate.</li><li>Ability to operate independently, manage/develop and lead a team.</li><li>Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.</li><li>Experience driving product outcomes with diverse technical teams – external vendors as well as internal it teams</li><li>Strong technical skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and processes, and ability to independently lead projects and drive change</li><li>Experience in managing and implementation of procedures and standards across all aspects of electronic trading</li><li>Ambitious and highly motivated/keen to identify and pursue opportunities for self-development and has demonstrated in his career successful examples of building and developing credit trading businesses.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Experience<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>15+ years’ relevant experience in Credit Trading/Sales/Product Management space with a demonstrable track record and progressively increasing responsibilities.</li></ul><p><strong>Educational background<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Minimum Bachelor/Master degree .</li></ul><p><strong>Language: <br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Fluent english, knowledge of other languages preferred</li></ul>
