Senior Data Engineer
Job Description
<ol><li>Understand business requirements and translate them to technical specifications.</li><li>Work with stakeholders including executives and line managers to gather the analytical requirements and assist with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.</li><li>Create and maintain optimal data architectural design.</li><li>Gather large complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.</li><li>Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.</li><li>Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data (ETL) from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and big data technologies.</li><li>Conduct periodic meetings with business teams to validate results and projects’ deliverables</li><li>Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing ETL solutions.</li><li>Gather and evaluate users’ feedback.</li><li>Saving technical documentation for reference and reporting.</li><li>Identify data discrepancies and develop data metrics.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Knowledge and Functional Skills:</u></strong></p><ol><li>Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL server.</li><li>Strong knowledge in developing complex SQL Queries, Stored procedures, functions, and triggers.</li><li>Strong analytical skills related to structured or unstructured data sets.</li><li>Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to details.</li><li>Experience in building operational ETL data pipelines from several disparate sources.</li><li>Strong working experience with SSIS / ADF</li><li>Strong working experience with SSAS / AAS.</li><li>Experienced in designing reports in SSRS.</li><li>Experience with Tableau is a plus.</li><li>Experience with Data Mining is a plus.</li></ol><p></p>
