<strong>Overview / Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p>Wood is currently hiring an experienced <strong>Senior Civil &amp; Structural Engineer</strong> for our project in Qatar to provide technical assurance of CIVIL designs through appropriate application of international and national technical standards and specifications, implementation of DCAF and review of design deliverables and activities.<p><br><br></p><ul><li> Ensure schedule and cost considerations are included in design decisions, while maintaining primary responsibility to assure safe and appropriate quality designs. </li><li> Ensure CIVIL Engineering activities are executed in alignment with Project Delivery Roadmap and Opportunity Realization Process. </li><li> Delivery of the CIVIL engineering scope for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures as defined under the QSGTL HSSE management system. </li><li> Act as LEAD CIVIL focal point in the review and preparation of engineering deliverables ranging from engineering study deliverables to RFC packages, commissioning procedures, ITPs, Material Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluations, etc. </li><li> Develop strategies/conceptual designs during early project phases </li><li> Drive technical assurance: Assure engineering and construction of CIVIL engineering discipline scope is carried out in compliance with required project standards and specifications, including DEM1 and DEM2 standards. </li><li> Participate in engineering reviews regarding CIVIL engineering discipline, witnessing of Factory Acceptance Tests, as required and participate in safety and quality audits and field reviews as required. </li><li> Drive installation quality, working with Construction contractor and QPH Construction team and provide technical support for commissioning of CIVIL Equipment where applicable. </li><li> To be fully familiar and up to date with latest Industry standards and ensure compliance of projects design with these latest standards. </li><li> Support COMPANY in auditing construction field activities for compliance and assist in resolution of field non-conformance issues as required. </li><li> Ensure design meets requirements of HSSE Framework. </li><li> Design and develop, as required, innovative technical approaches to the broader process engineering issues and contribute to continuous business improvement initiatives (fit for purpose) </li><li> Provide (one stop shop) CIVIL equipment engineering support and delivery for QPH Projects. </li><li> Accountability for process engineering deliverables and engineering execution planning support including provision of senior engineering expertise. </li><li> Proactively working with the Engineering Manager to keep Projects on track and achieve Top Quartile (TQ) performance for the portfolio. <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Skills / Qualifications</strong><p><br><br></p><ul><li> BSc., University in CIVIL Engineering or equivalent </li><li> Minimum 8 years experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related CIVIL / Structural Design and Engineering </li><li> Performs as a professional CIVIL engineer for projects and plant modifications from Front End Development through execution / commissioning and start-up. Past work experience should cover the wider spectrum of the civil engineering discipline (e.g. concrete, steel structures, geotechnical, site preparations, drainage systems, buildings, etc.) </li><li> Design, selection and specification of on- and offshore structures </li><li> Minimum 5 years experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas Project Delivery </li><li> Experience in the Middle East, knowledge of GTL and LNG are an advantage, as is front-end and commissioning experience and execution. <br></li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Company Overview</strong><p><br></p>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
