Procurement Engineer-Heat Exchangers

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:<p><br></p>Understand Project Material Requisitions for Heat Exchangers, Shell and Tube, Air Cooled Units.<p><br></p>Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs<p><br></p>Research potential vendors and develop supply chain<p><br></p>Track orders and ensure timely delivery<p><br></p>Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)<p><br></p>Conduct market research to identify pricing trends / risks<p><br></p>Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices<p><br></p>Prepare cost analyses<p><br></p>Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts<p><br></p>Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders<p><br></p>Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition<p><br></p>Shall able to understand and implement client specification.<p><br></p>Able to Handle sub-contractors and shall approve the procedures.<p><br></p>Incoming materials GRN.<p><br></p>Preparation of material traceability records and prepare test certificates.<p><br></p>Shall have worked with U stamp companies.<p><br></p>Review of drawings and Material specifications.<p><br></p>Preparation of in process and final documentation<p><br></p>Good understanding of ISO procedures and requirements<p><br></p><strong>Work Experience &amp; Education Requirements</strong><p><br></p>Experience 8 &amp; above<p><br></p>Qualification- Diploma or BE Mechanical<p><br></p>Excellent experience in Project material procurement for Heat Exchangers / Pressure Vessels and Fabrication Projects<p><br></p>Must have experience with sourcing from China, India, Korea, Europe<p><br></p>Must speak, read, write English fluently<p><br></p><strong>Preferred Technical Skills</strong><p><br></p>Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, ISO specifications for Steel products, pipes, tubes, plates, forgings, flanges<p><br></p>Read technical drawings, TDCs<p><br></p>Good understanding of supply chain procedures<p><br></p>Hands-on experience with purchasing software<p><br></p>Advanced knowledge of MS Excel<p><br></p>Knowledge of market research<p><br></p>Solid organizational skills<p><br></p>Good understanding of Quality testing requirements.
