Job Description
<p>The incumbent will report into the Vice President- Legal and will help to assist in managing statutory compliances and drafting legal documentation. The incumbent should have a keen eye and keep themselves abreast of all statutory compliances and should assist the senior management with all corporate, secretarial, and legal work. </p><p> </p><p><strong><u>Role & Responsibilities will include</u>:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensuring Statutory Compliances under various laws relating to Epic’s Jordan operations.</li><li>Keep Management of the Company update about any new law, rules, and regulations etc. and/or any change in existing laws, rules, and regulations. </li><li>Coordinate with directors, statutory authorities in relation to compliance, convening and holding meetings.</li><li>Convening and holding Board meeting, General meetings, and related compliances like preparation of notice, agenda, minutes, resolutions etc.</li><li>Preparation of MIS to be presented to Board/Management in relation to statutory compliances relating to Epic’s Jordan operations.</li><li>Corporate communication to various authorities in relation to secretarial and legal functions.</li><li>Drafting various legal documents (Contracts, MOU, Affidavits, Indemnity, Notice, Charge sheet, replies to notices/enquiries from applicable authorities etc.).</li><li>Coordinate with and visit various government and other statutory authorities for various legal and administrative issues.</li><li>Good knowledge of all corporate laws including labor laws to be able to manage and advise on compliance of applicable corporate laws.</li><li>Work on ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Management aligned with the vision and strategy of the company.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Behavioral Skills :</u></strong></p><ul><li>Striving for excellence to meet and exceed business objectives.</li><li>Excellent decision-making and ownership (responsibility & accountability) of work.</li><li>Teamwork & Cooperation.</li><li>Entrepreneurial & Innovative Thinking.</li><li>Communicates effectively across teams.</li><li>Highly motivated and result-driven individual.</li><li>Ability to keep composed under high-pressure situations.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills. Able to work in a multi-task environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong> <u>The ideal candidate should possess the below attributes:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Graduate or Master’s Degree in Law or related discipline.</li><li>Qualified company secretary under the laws of Jordan a plus.</li><li>Excellent command of written and spoken English and other languages is plus.</li><li>Excellent writing and presentation skills.</li><li>Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.</li><li>People with more relevant experience will be considered for Senior role.</li></ul>
