<ul><li>To supervise, conduct and execute various online and offline inspection activities on Plant Static equipment and piping. Coordinate inspection and NDE works with outside parties and analyze the findings to ensure the plant’s static equipment/piping, reliability and availability;</li><li>Supervise and – analyze the outcomes of – various online and offline inspections on fire-heaters, boilers, pipes and vessels in the Plant such as thermography, tube metal temperatures, thickness &amp; corrosion surveys, dye penetration tests, magnetic particle tests, acoustic inspections and radiography interpretation, or simply by visual analysis to ensure integrity of equipment and assist in establishing ground for initial problem;</li><li>Responsible for the NDE tests performed in the company through inspection section by self and contract manpower. Co-ordinate with outside parties for various inspection related activities especially on the NDE side;</li><li>Provide assistance in other inspection related activities such as instrument procurement, technical bid evaluation of purchase requests/tenders, technical queries. Tackle inspection related problems during plant emergencies. Assist in failure analysis and corrosion study;</li><li>Conduct quality assurance plans on implementation of recommendations made for rectification or improvement in new projects in order to ensure the quality of implementation meets company standards.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Your Tasks</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Review of contractors inspection and quality related documents like-PQRs, WPSs, Welders performance qualification records, for the contractual conformations;</li><li>Witness and review welders Performance qualification test in-house and at contractor’s place;</li><li>Inspection of contractor’s fabrication, piping and welding activities;</li><li>Review of contractors Project quality plan (PQP), inspection and test plans (ITP), final dossiers from contractors;</li><li>Stage inspection of various fabrication/piping jobs in-house and at contractors end;</li><li>Review and approve contractors’ workloads and production for each plant or facility with a view to determining the adequacy of manpower and materials, equipment and vehicle resources;</li><li>Ensures all departmental files, information and records are maintained in an orderly, secure and safe environment to ensure availability and preservation for future reference purposes;</li><li>Coordinate with the maintenance section for corrective and preventive maintenance activities to ensure service continuity, setting priorities to ensure minimum downtime and maximize system availability and service continuity;</li><li>Prepare and disseminate inspection reports on a regular and ad hoc basis to ensure that all concerned personnel are aware of the status and performance of various equipment in the plant;</li><li>Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon;</li><li>Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of inspection activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers;</li><li>Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of inspection activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude;</li><li>The jobholder operates under the general guidance of the Senior Inspection Engineer on all routine issues related to inspection;</li><li>The jobholder is free to plan and manage own areas of activity within policy/procedure constraints and the general guidance of the Senior Inspection Engineer;</li><li>Any extraordinary issues arising outside of set policies and procedures are referred to the Senior Inspection Engineer for discussion and approval of recommended actions;</li><li>No financial approval authority.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Your Profile</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>A degree in Mechanical Engineering or possibly Metallurgy;</li><li>Certifications of international like API 510, 570, 653/ CSWIP Plant Inspector, CSWIP SrWI;</li><li>5 – 7 years experience in a similar field;</li><li>Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and fabrication of piping/pressure vessels/Heat Exchangers;</li><li>Should be familiar with QA/QC inspection standards and procedures;</li><li>Familiar with all conventional methods of NDE like RT, MT, PT and ET and hold a certificate of competency of level II of ASNT or equivalent;</li><li>English Language;</li><li>Health &amp; Safety Systems; Knowledge of Policy &amp; Procedure;</li><li>Quality Management Systems; Time Management;</li><li>Business Skills &amp; Understanding; Environmental Management Systems;</li><li>Data Gathering &amp; Analysis; PC;</li><li>Performance Management; Project Management;</li><li>Written Communication; Designing;</li><li>Engineering Principles; Engineering Project Costing;</li><li>Achievement Orientation; Analytical Thinking;</li><li>Communication;</li><li>Customer Service Orientation;</li><li>Concern for Safety, Quality &amp; the Environment;</li><li>Conceptual Thinking;</li><li>Technical Expertise &amp; Development;</li><li>Teamwork &amp; Cooperation.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Our Offer</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Salary:</li><ul><li>Day Rate in QAR Plus Allowance</li></ul><li>Work Schedule:</li><ul><li>9 Hours / 5 Days</li></ul></ul><ul><li>Duration:</li><ul><li>Permanent Hire</li></ul><li>Location:</li><ul><li>Qatar</li></ul></ul>
