<p><strong>Job Opportunity | MSBA Coordinator </strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) is currently looking to fill the position of the Coordinator of the MSBA Program (Master of Science in Business Analytics). The MSBA Coordinator manages and oversees all aspects of the MSBA program at OSB. The coordinator must have strong committed leadership with the ability to sustain a solid strategic vision for this program. The coordinator must ensure that the general academic quality of the MSBA program is growing in line with AACSB accreditation standards at OSB. The coordinator plays a significant and critical role in shaping every student’s experience and career path. For this to be achievable, collaboration, positivity, and proactive problem-solving are needed to grow the program’s identity and reputation. In addition, the coordinator works collaboratively with different departmental units within AUB including key positions at OSB such as the Director of Graduate Programs, the Director of Career Management Services, the Director of Continuous Improvement, and the BIDS track Convener. The coordinator will also make a significant contribution to teaching in the program and overseeing capstone projects. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Corporate Development and Partner Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with the business community and other key stakeholders and partners.</li><li>Teach courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in business analytics.</li><li>Support MSBA students in course selection, advising, and progress toward graduation.</li><li>Support and supervise MSBA students in capstone projects, including finding a company, arranging for access to data, signing NDA agreements, overseeing project progress, arranging for project presentation and completion</li><li>Develop industry partnerships that would secure industry projects for MSBA students to work on as their capstone projects</li><li>Interview applicants for the MSBA program and manage the student recruitment process</li><li>Foster strong alumni relations in support of current students and obtain referrals for prospective students</li><li>Lead and/or participate in several key initiatives that execute program strategy and lead to the attainment of the MSBA strategic goals.</li><li>Support of career development and placement of the MSBA students</li><li>Maintain a digital presence for the MSBA program</li><li>Maintain a database of MSBA graduates</li><li>Support the Business Data Analytics Society </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong> </p><ul><li>A Ph.D. is highly desirable with a minimum of a Master’s in an appropriate analytics field</li><li>Strong technical analytics skills with the ability to teach cutting-edge developments</li><li>Extensive experience in working on Business Analytics projects in applied settings</li><li>Previous experience in the degree program environments</li><li>Extensive experience working with corporate clients</li><li>Experience in revenue generation, target setting, and leading teams, ideally in Higher Education and the Corporate environment</li><li>Experience in developing recruitment plans and managing student recruitment strategy</li><li>Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills</li><li>Strong managerial abilities to lead and develop a collaborative team</li><li>A thorough understanding of the Business Analytics Market with the ability to identify and implement improvements as needed to remain competitive in the Higher Education space</li><li>Ability to analyze data to identify trends, develop strategy and measure success rates</li><li>Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team </li><li>The ability to prioritize competing demands </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Independence of Operation: </strong></p><ul><li>Reports to the BIDS Track Convener and the Dean</li><li>Works to strategic objectives and priorities of OSB as a constituent of AUB. </li><li>Progress and accomplishments are subject to general review by senior management. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility: </strong>None </p><p><strong>Physical Effort: </strong>None </p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong> OSB is AACSB accredited and AUB is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
