You will provide an extension of Swagelokβs Engineering Services within our region, based out of our sales & service center, for our team and our end users in markets and applications that are strategic and critical to Swagelok. </p><p><br></p><p>The Training and Technical Specialist acts as the technical representative in support of existing installations, product returns, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), to provide training and technical support on fluid system products and applications (Swagelok Tube Fitting Essentials, product, equipment)</p><p> </p><p>A Training and Technical Specialistβs primary focus is to provide application knowledge and technical support & training to customers within our region, in order to facilitate the growth of sales of targeted training initiatives, product, service, market segments, key customers and construction projects. Plant visits and customer training are a regular function of the position. In addition, a Training and Technical Specialist will perform and/or assist in evaluations of customer fluid systems to identify areas of improvement, drive plant efficiencies, offer possible solutions via formal reports (FSEAS, HAS, and other technical services), and generate and deliver reports. Coordinating and executing asset management for customers (i.e. Sample cylinder maintenance, VMIβs, rebuilds, etc.) </p><p><br></p><p>The Training and Technical Specialist will be identifying general product types for customer applications, consulting with product SMEs when required, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization on technical applications and solutions. Effectively communicating and training others, are essential to success in this position.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the Regional Director to achieve training and technical specialist KPIs, the Training and Technical Specialist will work as a team player to increase training and service sales revenue by engaging with a target list of accounts/assist sales teams. They will deliver Swagelok essential training to customers, ensure day to day training administrations, engage with customers through site visits, identify and assess new opportunities for our company, and work with customers as part of the sales or services process.</p><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will be passionate about delivering first class customer service to our customers and traveling across our service area! They will be an excellent communicator who can deliver engaging fluid system training with clarity and enthusiasm.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition, you will have:</p><ul><li>Experience in Customer Training, Technical Service or relevant customer facing experience.</li><li>Experience in fluid system training.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior management.</li><li>Strong planning and organization skills.</li><li>Ability to adapt training to suit customer needs, lead initiatives and drive process improvements.</li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, act independently and exercise good judgment.</li><li>Ability to creatively use resources and adjust to changes in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong presentation Skills β The set of techniques and skills required to successfully present training processes (internally) and system and solution features (externally).</li><li>Education level with an engineering background.</li><li>Upstream and/or Downstream project experience, including knowledge of oil & gas processes, technologies, designs, and operations</li><li>3-5 years of industry experience with fluid controls, as an engineer (e.g., instrumentation, mechanical, electrical).</li><li>Ability to interpret P&ID diagrams and fluid schematics</li><li>Mechanically inclined regarding utilization of tools and equipment</li><li>Ability to operate independently to solve problems and make sound technical decisions</li><li>A proactive team player with a positive mind set of getting the job done in time</li><li>The Training and Technical Specialist is next to a dedicated role also a grow position in the Services team.
