<strong><u>Job Description</u></strong><p><br></p>About the Company<p><br></p>Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country’s crude oil production and natural gas supply.<p><br></p>Purpose of the Job<p><br></p>To identify training and employment opportunities for young Omanis, beyond the oil & gas sector, ensure training for employment is to the agreed standard by PDO and in a cost effective manner.<p><br></p>Education & Experience<p><br></p><ul><li> Bachelorβs Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or Engineering.</li><li> Minimum 7 years of experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.</li><li> Must be fluent in both Arabic and English languages</li><li> Commercial & Business Development Experience.</li></ul><p><br></p>Main Responsibilities<p><br></p><ul><li> Maintain HSE as first priority through compliance to PDO house rules, PDO HSE golden rules and PDO LSR (lifesaving rules).</li><li> Identifying opportunities for national manpower supply.</li><li> Continuously identify strategic partners and key players in the economy to form long term partnerships for employment.</li><li> Identify apprenticeship and on-job training programs to be implemented in NOP Supervise assessment and selection of trainees in training institutes, with the training provider and proposed employer, allocating trainees to the relevant institutes.</li><li> Project management skills:</li><li> Determine and define project scope and objectives and aggration of demand from other operators.</li><li> Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution</li><li> Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement</li><li> Coordinate the efforts of planning fluctuating project demand with stakeholders</li><li> Develop and manage proactive communication protocols for all stakeholders.</li><li> Utilize change management practices in order to encourage consistency and engagement from staff in moving towards more consistent design and project management methodologies</li><li> Performs supervisory responsibilities:</li><li> 3- Contracting Skills:</li><li> Contract Strategy Management</li><li> Explore the best, fit for purpose, contracting strategy for the scope.</li><li> Develop strategy for the most cost effective scheme to supply national manpower for the Oil & Gas over the coming years and how best values could be extracted & realized in line with stakeholders requirements.</li><li> Manage contracts with stakeholders, vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables</li><li> Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements</li><li> Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques</li><li> Oversee the coordination and the gathering of information as it relates database in conformance with master plan.</li><li> Oversee Project contracts operation to ensure equity and quality of bidding and contracting documentation.</li><li> Ensure all contracts and required project documentation needs are met; establishing and maintaining the technical base of knowledge for the physical facilities.</li><li> Identify challenges and lessons learned to take corrective actions, at a higher level.</li><li> Report KPIs to NOP dashboard and develop performance report of the team.</li><li> Plan key areas for change and improvement associated with existing opportunites to meet related objectives established by PDO.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Skills Required</u></strong><p><br></p>Other Job Details
