<p><strong><u>Job Purpose:</u></strong></p><p>To support the Business in managing credit risk by using appropriate judgement and commercial credit experience to assess credit worthiness of a customer. Ensure that overall quality of accounts are within acceptable risk parameters and remain within Bank’s lending policies and guidelines. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Key Accountabilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Lead the process of CREDIT FACILITY REVIEW (CFR) with a high-quality analysis of credit applications for Wholesale Banking customers (Govt &amp; Public sector, Large Corporates, Business Corporates and Contracting) and Enterprise Banking customers. </li><li>Adequately structure facilities adhering to defined risk levels and make sensible recommendations with practical and acceptable risk mitigating conditions to the approving authorities under the delegated credit authority.</li><li>Conduct quality &amp; effective one-to-one pre-deal discussions with the Business and Credit Team and reach an acceptable proposition which addresses the concerns of relevant stakeholders. </li><li>The discussion should be reflective in the credit applications or agreed upon through subsequent emails and any unresolved issues are to be documented for record by email. </li><li>Accurate spreading of financials and analysis in Credit Lens and carry out appropriate re-classifications wherever necessary and ensure that risk grading of account is appropriately done and reflects the underlying risk.</li><li>Join Relationship Managers with site visits to customers’ premises and visits to properties taken as security on an annual basis, for selected names. </li><li>Drive portfolio analytics in consultation with Business and Credit, providing value addition towards credit risk management via scheduled, structured portfolio analysis and updates, prepare industry/sector reviews for senior management through internal data use and external research and analysis.</li><li>Enhance risk management through portfolio quality assurance by tracking and monitoring covenants and credit conditions and escalating overdue items for remedial. </li><li>Proactively solving any issues that hinders an efficient and effective CFR process, drive solutions for improving CFR and process quality, consistency and TAT. Escalate to relevant stakeholders and driving for joint discussions and solutions that fits all. Initiating tangible and evidence driven process improvements and implementing same with measurable results.</li><li>Training and development of assigned Analysts in terms of systems, tools, policies, procedures relating to the role, train and develop credit skills by reviewing CFRs for quality and consistency, applying the correct policies and procedures to deliver CFRs within agreed TAT.</li><li>Understand, implement and communicate the Bank’s and QCB’s policies, procedures etc.</li><li>Promote a risk management culture and behavior that provides adequate analysis, sound judgment, flexibility and an ideal balance of risks and rewards. </li><li>Assist the Business in preparation of periodic and adhoc credit audits carried-out by Internal Audit and QCB. </li><li>Any other relevant tasks assigned by the Head of Credit Analytics from time to time.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>A University Degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Finance, Management Accounting</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Required Experience:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Over 10 years of experience in Credit Analysis and portfolio quality assurance in Corporate/Institutional/Commercial segments. Experience in Contracting and Real Estate is preferred. GCC experience is an advantage.</li><li>Experience in leading small groups of teams.</li><li>Experience in leading projects and proven track record of successful implementation of same</li></ul>
