Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p><strong> Purpose </strong><p><br></p>To ensure that all Rope Access activities are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company and statuary regulations and, where applicable, to perform or support NDT and Visual inspection.<p><br></p><strong><u>Essential</u></strong><p><br></p><strong> Functions </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Supervise and direct rope access personnel to ensure operational efficiency with the implementation of the appropriate standards of safety, and quality control in Rope Access activities, according to Oceaneering procedures </li><li> Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT and Rope Access activities </li><li> Seek to continually improve existing safe systems and methods of work </li><li> Maintain contact with existing and potential customers and establish close relationships with them in order to promote the company’s interests </li><li> Maintain the rope access equipment ensuring that the certification is kept up to date </li><li> On return to Stores, or at end of trip if equipment is to stay on board, all equipment must be cleaned and manifested </li><li> When working an ongoing contract, the equipment will be left in a clean and tidy condition for the oncoming Level 3, and verified agains the site equipment log </li><li> All relevant paperwork in the Rope Access work pack will be read, filled out, signed, and sent back to operations on completion of the project </li><li> Carry out risk assessments / Take II as required </li><li> Apply the most effective NDT techniques to components requiring inspection </li><li> Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification </li><li> Ensure NDT equipment function tests are performed according to the procedure and any faulty equipment is detailed / reported </li><li> Evaluate results of the tests in accordance with the applicable specification </li><li> Produce clear and concise reports detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all findings noting any applicable limitations / test restrictions </li><li> Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Non-essential</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Safety </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems </li><li> Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Other</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements </li><li> Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Company’s Integrated Management Systems and the relevant Client’s site management procedures </li><li> Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Carries out supervisory responsibilities in relation to all rope access activities in accordance with Oceaneering’s rope access policies and applicable industry guidelines and regulations. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong> Reporting Relationship </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> This person will report to the Senior Inspection Engineer </li><li> Performance will be measured by the Senior Inspection Engineer and/or Rope Access Manager </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Required</u></strong><p><br></p><strong> Qualifications </strong><p><br></p><ul><li> IRATA L3 (minimum) </li><li> ASNT/PCN L2 or CSWIP Visual Inspection </li><li> Valid Passport </li><li> Offshore Survival / Offshore Medical / M.I.S.T / Cat A E.B.S / Bi-Deltoid Measurement / Eye Test </li></ul><p><br></p>DESIRED<p><br></p><ul><li> ASNT/PCN Levels 1 or 2 in one or more disciplines (MPI / DPI / UT / ECI / RAD) </li><li> Radiography Assistant training </li><li> Confined Space Entry training </li><li> ASNT/PCN Radiological Protection Supervision (RPS) </li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics</u></strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Flexible Conditions </strong><p><br></p>This position is considered OFFSHORE which is characterised as follows:<p><br></p><ul><li> Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water </li><li> Normal place of work will be a fixed offshore installation, with stable deck surfaces </li><li> Occasionally work on a floating vessel may be required </li><li> Work will frequently be at elevated heights, and while suspended from ropes </li><li> Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment </li><li> Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels </li><li> Includes exposure to contaminants including airborne dust, fumes, and gases </li><li> Lighting conditions may range from extremely bright / intense glare to inadequate lighting </li><li> Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions </li><li> The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. </li><li> Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. </li><li> Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing all
