The Pharmacist’s role is to dispense, compound, label, store, and ensure the proper use of pharmaceutical preparations, contribute to the efficient operation of the department, direct the Pharmacy Technicians and advance the goals of Spring View Hospital. The Pharmacist uses the principles of pharmaceutical care to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for individual patients. The Pharmacist may provide pharmacy-related education to pharmacists, technicians, and other health care practitioners. It is expected that the Pharmacist shall exercise leadership in all matters related to the medication use process for neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18 years), adult (18-65), and geriatrics (over 65 years). This position requires a high level of interaction with others, generally at the team member, Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Director and physician level; substantial coordination required. (I.e., problem solving and project interaction). The employee is responsible for: supporting and facilitating the QI process through on-going development and monitoring of performance improvement indicators; growth and facilitation of Pharmacy work teams to meet quality, clinical standards of care; assisting the Manager to provide effective and efficient use of all resources and for ensuring budget and value proposition targets are met. Work involves non-standardized tasks requiring professional judgement. Errors could lead to cost and quality problems for the Pharmacy Department.<br><br>This position is eligible for a $10000 sign on bonus.<br><br><strong>Graduate of a school of pharmacy, with current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Kentucky. Must possess a working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and aseptic technique. Knowledge of effective clinical interventions in a wide variety of situations in several modalities.
