<strong>Role Purpose </strong><p><br></p>The purpose of the Budget and Finance Lead in the Government Affairs department at NEOM is to oversee the financial activities of the department and ensure that financial resources are utilized effectively and efficiently to support the department’s goals and objectives. This includes developing and maintaining the department’s annual budget, monitoring, and tracking the budget, forecasting, submitting monthly accruals, managing credit card payments and invoices, allocating funds to various projects and initiatives, updating the budget dashboard, and linking the budget with the Implementation Plan. The Budget and Finance Lead plays a critical role in ensuring that the department’s financial resources are aligned with NEOM’s overall goals and objectives.<p><br></p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><p><br></p><strong> Job Summary: </strong><p><br></p>NEOM is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Budget and Finance Lead to oversee the financial activities of the Government Affairs department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budget planning, monitoring and tracking the sector’s budget, forecasting, submitting monthly accruals, credit card payments, invoice submitting, budget allocation, updating the budget dashboard, and linking the budget with the Implementation Plan.<p><br></p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Develop and maintain the Government Affairs department’s annual budget, including forecasting revenue and expenses.</li><li> Monitor and track the sector’s budget, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.</li><li> Submit monthly accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.</li><li> Manage credit card payments and reconcile credit card statements.</li><li> Review and approve all invoices, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals.</li><li> Allocate funds to various projects and initiatives based on departmental priorities and budget constraints.</li><li> Update the budget dashboard regularly to provide accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders.</li><li> Link the budget with the Implementation Plan to ensure the department’s financial resources are aligned with NEOM’s goals and objectives.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Knowledge, Skills And Experience</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> +5 to 6 years of experienced in relevant field </li><li> Budget planning and forecasting: The candidate should have experience in developing and maintaining budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses, and allocating funds to various projects and initiatives. </li><li> Attention to detail: The candidate should have strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of financial activities. </li><li> Communication and interpersonal skills: The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other departments, stakeholders, and vendors. </li><li> Analytical and problem-solving skills: The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial issues. </li><li> Independence and teamwork: The candidate should have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. </li><li> Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. </li></ul><p><br></p>Overall, the Budgeting and Financial planning Manager – Government Affairs role requires a candidate who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage financial activities efficiently to ensure the department’s financial resources are aligned with the department’s goals and objectives.
