Responsible for designing, organizing, promoting, and leading all the recreational and leisure facilities for all the employees of the clients and Newrest gulf staff resident in the CONTRACTOR’s camp. Promoting Workers’ Welfare standards and best practices as stipulated in the relevant updated guidelines and in line with the all the applicable laws in the state of Qatar. As well as the relevant CONTRACTOR’s Camp Management Plan and Health and Welfare Procedures.<p><br></p><strong>Work location: </strong>Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) – Site Office<p><br></p><strong>Work conditions: </strong>Accommodation at the site, one day off a week, 15 days off after 6 months Service, 2 Round trip Tickets to home country per year.<p><br></p><strong>Major responsibilities of the Recreation &amp; Welfare Manager are to:</strong><p><br></p><u>Recreation:</u><p><br></p><ul><li>Responsible for overall management of Staff recreation facilities and the recreation team in planning, organizing, and arranging various activities for the camp residents which includes social gathering, outing, indoor as well as outdoor sportive ones like Gym, Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, Tennis, snooker, etc. </li><li>Administer and educate others on all Recreation and Wellness programs, compile, and provide accurate information and updates to policies and procedures, improving overall customer satisfaction in the process. </li><li>Collect and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual operational and statistical data to determine and improve methods and procedures to better serve his department and campus community. </li><li>Keep up to date with the latest developments in sports and fitness techniques and equipment and make appropriate recommendations to the management. </li></ul><p><br></p><u>Welfare:</u><p><br></p><ul><li>Ensures that Workers’ Welfare related programs and protocols are established and sustained throughout the Project duration. These programs and protocols will include but not limited to Safety, Social Works, Industrial Hygiene, Camp Management Standard, Mental Health, Human Rights, Grievance Management and Dispute Resolution. </li><li>Demonstrates visible leadership through attendance at key Project activities such as camp management, camp walk-throughs, award programs, workers’ welfare events and camp committee meetings. </li><li> Supports the Audit Teams in the planning and execution of Camp and Welfare audits. </li><li>Meeting the workers for gathering regular return of experience, with the aim to identify worker’s dissatisfaction with welfare arrangements or the absence of welfare requirements and report these deficiencies to the management for intervention. </li><li>Gather welfare improving propositions and propose the most feasible ones to the management. </li><li>Serve as a first responder in emergency situations and follow emergency protocols. </li></ul><p><br></p><u>General:</u><p><br></p><ul><li>Respect and follow up all client and Newrest QHSE policies &amp; must rules. </li><li>To attend meetings and training courses as required. </li><li>Report any incident, accident &amp; unsafe act to the management. </li><li>Stop working in unsafe condition. </li><li>Bachelor’s degree with minimum 15 years’ relevant experience. </li><li>Psychology educational background is preferrable. </li><li>Previous experience in Recreation and Welfare activities is a MUST. </li><li>Must have CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. </li><li>Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team. </li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Multilingual, fluency in English is a must, French and other Asian language is Plus.</li></ul>
