<p><strong><u>Tourism Development Specialist (Marine Environment)</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Tourism Development Specialist:</u></strong></p><p>i. The primary role of Marine Environment Specialist is to ensure compliance with the marine, environmental and sea legislations. Knowledge and experience in managing marine environment and sustainability, collecting best practices in writing the regulations of navigational and marine activities to be environment friendly. The role will also be expected to translate the environmental regulations to guidelines that are applicable to navigational and marine activities and consolidate environmental regulations in KSA and align with regulatory entities on its association with navigational and marine activities.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><u>2.</u><strong><u> Professional Experience:</u></strong></p><p>i. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the environmental sustainability ecosystem and developing sustainable marine tourism strategies to promote awareness of ocean and sea protection.</p><p><br></p><p>ii. Knowledge of institutional and legal framework of the environment and conservation in Red Sea, as well as of relevant policy issues coastal tourism development and marine activities.</p><p><br></p><p>iii. Knowledge of environmental challenges and tourism development, as well as strong analytical skills to assess the impact of tourism on the marine environment and develop strategies to mitigate this impact.</p><p><br></p><p>iv. Experience with multi-disciplinary environment teams (Government, NGO´s, Donors, Civil Society), would be a strong asset.</p><p><br></p><p>v. Fluency in both Arabic and English (preferred).</p><p><br></p><p>vi. Professional certification in the field of developing and implementing programs and projects to promote sustainable marine tourism and protect the marine environment, or any related certificate (preferred).</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><u>3.</u><strong><u> Academic Qualification:</u></strong></p><p>§ Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Environmental Engineering, Marine Engineering, Biology, conservation/environment/natural resource management/marine/coastal or any related field, or equivalent.</p><p><br></p><p>§ Master’s degree in Tourism Management, Environmental Engineering, Marine Engineering, or any related field, or equivalent (preferred).</p><p><br></p><p>§ Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Tourism Management, Environmental Engineering, Marine Engineering, or any related field, or equivalent (preferred).</p>
