Find out more at https://www.aveva.com/en/about/careers/</strong><p><br></p><strong>Are you passionate about transformation?</strong><p><br></p>At AVEVA IT we are in the process of rearchitecting the backbone of our operations and we need someone to take responsibility for implementing the data architecture and strategy to help the organisation understand how we can leverage our data as a key component of our growth.<p><br></p>You’ll be joining the Enterprise Architecture function, working in a small Business and Information Architecture team that is focused on evolution of the architecture and supporting AVEVA’s strategic execution.<p><br></p>This position will ensure we put the right data architecture, processes, definitions and flows in place to create a cohesive and strong operational backbone that focuses on data sharing, data harmonisation and extracting value for AVEVA from the data we already have.<p><br></p>Responsibilities<p><br></p><strong>Enterprise Information Catalogue</strong> – you will bring together various data dictionaries and glossaries into a business-led, approved business glossary and continue building any areas that don’t already exist.<p><br></p><strong>Target Information Architecture and Strategy</strong> – we are in the midst of bringing together disparate operations, products and ways of working. You will play a critical role in shaping and implementing the future information architecture and identifying/modeling the relationships with the other Enterprise Architecture Domains.<p><br></p><strong>Enterprise Data Model</strong> – you will help build the AVEVA data model which reflects the relationships and requirements of the organisational strategy and ensure it is used in change projects and developments across AVEVA. You’ll also continue evolving the use of master data and common data models at AVEVA.<p><br></p><strong>Enterprise Information Management </strong>– each system within our landscape has a history and a set of stakeholders with their own data and information requirements. You will need to understand these various requirements to ensure that, at an enterprise level, we can meet them across all areas with the simplest data landscape possible.<p><br></p><strong>Enterprise Information Systems</strong> – working with stakeholders across the business, ensure that our projects and programmes are aligning to the target enterprise architecture.<p><br></p><strong>Data Governance</strong> – you will provide support to our Data Operations organization to roll out and embed data management processes across the organisation.<p><br></p><strong>Enterprise Architecture Governance</strong> – you will be a full member of the Enterprise Architecture team, so you will be participating in project governance and ensuring our change projects align to business strategy and the target architecture.<p><br></p>Technical Skills, Knowledge And Experience Required<p><br><br></p><ul><li>5-10 years’ experience in IT or solutions/process/product development</li><li>Ability to create a data model at a logical level</li><li>1-2 years’ experience in a data/information related role</li><li>A good grasp of the principles of database and data systems design</li><li>Experience of implementing or supporting Master Data Management and other complex information systems would be an asset</li></ul><p><br></p>Soft Skills<p><br></p><strong>Analysis</strong> – You need the ability to be able to understand and identify competing data and other requirements from across the business and help find efficient solutions to data problems.<p><br></p><strong>Influencing</strong> – You need the ability to present concepts to stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to bring information management and architecture to life and to ensure the right decisions are made.<p><br></p><strong>Communications</strong> – You need to be comfortable presenting, hosting workshops and driving decision-making. Being able to make complicated concepts simple is a core soft skill in the role.<p><br></p><strong>Resilience</strong> – You need to be able to be able to find ways to overcome challenges and setbacks.<p><br></p><strong>Organisation</strong> – You need to be able to manage your own workload, be good at keeping notes, creating agendas and scheduling meetings.<p><br></p><strong>Information classification and modelling</strong> – you need to be a ‘natural classifier’ – comfortable with seeing how concepts fit together, understanding their relationships and hierarchies and making decisions about classifications based on the subject matter and business requirements.<p><br></p>What Would Set You Apart<p><br><br></p><ul><li>A core understanding of what good looks like for information architecture and experience of applying it in project governance and implementation.</li><li>Experience of implementing a target state architecture through change projects by ensuring the enterprise requirements are prioritized against time and cost considerations.</li><li>An appreciation for Business Architecture and the use of Business Capabilities within an organization to simplify communication across business areas and IT.</li><li>A track record of commitment to doing the right thing, even when it’s difficult.</li><li>Ability to work as a team and independently depending on the task. </li><li>A track record of living AVEVA’s values in your working life – Impact, Aspiration, Curiosity, and Trust</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>AVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
