The Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for formulating &amp; driving a digital-first content &amp; audience strategy across ROP, Digital, Multimedia, Social, and Events in UAE and New Markets.<p><br></p>He/She will articulate &amp; lead the newsroom convergence across daily, magazines, digital assets, and IPs across news/views genres, both original and aggregated.<p><br></p><ul><li> Define, articulate, and drive a cohesive content leadership framework across stakeholders. </li><li> Display a high-quality focus on proofreading, headlines, thumb-stoppers, and nuances of content that impacts readership and viewership across print, digital, and multimedia. </li><li> Determines the look and feel, tone &amp; scope, and consistency of publications.</li><li> Creates an editorial board and schedule of each issue being reported, mapping out the content and directing the flow and scope for the team. </li><li> Projects a credible face for the publications with relevant PR and thought leadership makeup.</li><li> Operates as a custodian of the Vertical budget for resourcing, marketing, and other initiatives that positively impact the editorial depth and width of the publications. </li><li> Helps empower creative solutions and out-of-the-box niche ideas that help the content journey and stickiness with viewers. </li><li> Adopts data-driven analytical decision-making as an agile and transparent leader. </li><li> Business-driven with a commercial outlook towards content monetization and an ally to sales and marketing teams. </li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Requirements</strong><p><br></p><ul><li> Master’s degree preferred from Media, Journalism, Communications, and English literature.</li><li> Proven 20+ years of senior editorial leadership across reputed publications and media houses, encompassing print, digital and events. </li><li> Extensive exposure to Content Management Systems with familiarity to publishing workflows.</li><li> Sound knowledge of media trends, audience preferences, and digital platforms.</li><li> Proficiency in using analytics tools and platforms to track and measure content performance and audience engagement.</li><li> Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.</li><li> Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.</li><li> Exposure to paywalls, subscription models and new IP creation is an added advantage.</li></ul>
