<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>Job Overview:<br><br></strong>The Principal Materials Administrator provides solutions to problems in situations that may be atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures. The work of the Principal Materials Administrator directly impacts the quality of the work of the team. They can communicate technical Material Management information to the team and suggest improvements to existing processes.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Accountable for successful and timely documents management for materials receiving and issuance including Return to Stores</li><li>Oversee material receiving and issuing in warehouse/yard floor operations, stock accuracy, and compliance with company/customers procedures from the Contractor</li><li>Performs Work Front Forecasting for Construction planning, coordinate with the Engineering team to ensure necessary Engineering deliverables such as attributes/BOM structure are maintained with correct Materials ROS dates in the system</li><li>Ensure tracking in the system and reports are maintained for all project incoming and outgoing materials</li><li>Accountable for material receiving, checking, location-allocation, Inventory checks, issuing, and preservation coordination</li><li>Perform routine location checks, storage &amp; preservation requirements, and maintain quality standards records</li><li>Ensure all pick tickets are created in the system and issued out reflecting the actual inventory</li><li>Inspect materials receiving &amp; issuing documents for accuracy, and completeness and inform the supervisor of any discrepancies</li><li>Ensure new Delivery Notes are scanned and made available in share drive for PMT/Production teams</li><li>Prepare a checklist for Warehouse and QC clearance in a timely manner based on checked inbound documents</li><li>Liaise with PMT/Expeditors if any clarifications are needed for checklist creation and perform follow-up</li><li>Accurately maintain GRN tracker for all checklists and all types of material/receipts</li><li>Post GRN/MRR upon inspection completion for materials and consumables</li><li>Notify PMT/Expeditors on OS&amp;D via e-mail immediately and register OS&amp;D in the system</li><li>Maintain/update the OS&amp;D log and distribute the OS&amp;D report on a weekly basis to Expeditors for action</li><li>Attend OS&amp;D meetings, follow up for closure, and close OS&amp;D in the system/log, when cleared</li><li>Prepare Materials Pick ticket based on Production/shop engineer BOM/Reservation code request</li><li>Verify material issue requests received from Production/shop Engineers for completeness and relevant data requirements</li><li>Maintain Manual issue note register (for CM Approved/Direct Delivery/others) for materials not acknowledged in the system</li><li>Maintain checklist records in Document Management System</li><li>Reconcile materials in the system based on actual availability at the end of the project or as requested by PMT</li><li>Project material control process is accurate, timely documented, and complete</li><li>All communication is tactful, friendly and respects confidentiality, and analysis are completed on time</li><li>Meetings are timely, complete, and documented</li><li>Investigations are documented, timely accurate, and complete</li><li>Follow-up actions are timely, complete, and documented</li><li>Liaise with outside services is timely, accurate, and discrete<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Essential Qualifications and Education:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Diploma in Science/Material Management/ITI</li><li>5 to 10 years of relevant experience</li><li>Specific Industry Training, Knowledge of the Engineering/Petrochemical industry, or General Engineering/ Mechanical background</li><li>Proficiency in Material Management Systems (Smart Plant Materials)</li><li>Computer literate and proficient in the use of spreadsheets and/or Material Management Software</li><li>Fluent in English language (oral and written)</li><li>Computer literate, proficient in the use of spreadsheets and Material Management Software</li><li>Able to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures</li><li>Ability to compile/write reports and procedures</li><li>Capable of working under pressure, managing a team to lead by example, handling high volumes of work, and balancing conflicting demands in a timely manner whilst constantly meeting deadlines and targets</li><li>Self-motivated, highly focused, driven by results, and able to demonstrate excellent organization and communication skills and pay attention to detail while operating with flexibility and adaptability</li><li>Good interpersonal &amp; communication skills, familiar with materials, specifications, and Materials Management systems<br><br></li></ul><strong>Company Overview and Core Values:<br><br></strong>McDermott is a premier, fully-integrated provider of technology, engineering and construction solutions to the energy industry.
