American International University, Kuwait<br><br>Job Description:<br><br>The Applications Development Specialist plays a crucial role in the university IT department, responsible for creating and managing internal applications to support various operational functions. This position requires a strong background in application development, with particular emphasis on Microsoft app creation and SharePoint management. Additionally, familiarity with biometric-based time attendance software and report generation is preferred.<br><br>Key Responsibilities:<br><ul><li>Develop, customize, and maintain internal applications to meet the university’s operational needs.</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective solutions.</li><li>Utilize Microsoft app development tools and frameworks to create intuitive and user-friendly applications.</li><li>Manage and administer SharePoint sites, ensuring proper access controls, document management, and collaboration capabilities.</li><li>Enhance existing applications by implementing new features, functionalities, and integrations.</li><li>Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution to ensure smooth operations.</li><li>Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in application development and SharePoint management.</li><li> Conduct system testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure application reliability and optimal performance.</li><li>Assist in the integration of biometric-based time attendance software, ensuring accurate data capture and seamless integration with existing systems.</li><li>Generate and analyze reports from various applications, providing valuable insights and recommendations for process improvement. Requirements:</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li><li>Strong experience in application development, preferably with a focus on Microsoft app creation.</li><li>Proficiency in SharePoint administration and management.</li><li>Familiarity with biometric-based time attendance software and report generation.</li><li>Solid understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, and database concepts.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.</li><li>Prior experience in a similar role or relevant projects is highly desirable.</li><li>Continuous learning mindset to keep up with evolving technologies and trends in the field.
