Job Description

Complies to IMS system (QMS, EMS &amp; OHSAS) requirements as set by the company.<br><br>Follows all the company policies, Regulations of (govt.&amp; companies) and securing the company’s Assets in line with code of conduct.<br><br>Contributes to minimization of production cost by operating the crane at its optimum level with utmost care to minimize usage of spare parts, manpower manhours and tools.<br><br>Reads, understands and complies to all work instructions, and safety procedures related to his line of work as well as complying to health, and environmental standard of the company.<br><br>Attends toolbox meeting with his crew members; addressing and contributing to safe working practice issues, incident report discussion, housekeeping and hazards and risk identification.<br><br>Verifies that all lifting tools and tackles being used for rigging/hoisting are in good condition and that the usage in correct by the ground crew.<br><br>Strictly follows shift relieving policy (hand over &amp; takeover of shift and work site) and must ensure that he is available at work site during working hours.<br><br>Carries out instructions and other related work being handed down by his superior.<br><br>Carries out pre-operation check of his crane including test movements prior to his proper shift duty and any abnormalities found shall be reported to his immediate superior.<br><br>He shall cooperate as well as to have initiative in any projects that will improve the safe operation of the overhead cranes.<br><br>He shall coordinate and support maintenance crew during shutdown maintenance.<br><br>Checking of refractory conditions and discussing with supervisor the job/target for the day.<br><br>Check/inspect working condition of machines that will be used such as paddle mixer, portable mixer, pneumatic jackhammer, vibrators, jib crane and gunning machine/spray machine and reporting to immediate superior for need of repair and/or replacement.<br><br>Prepare shovels, trowels, level bars, and ladders, tackles, lifting devices and slings/chains and reporting to immediate superior for need of repair and/or replacement<br><br>Perform proper lining on ladle, partial and/or full repair.<br><br>Perform ladle casting, ramming, patching and gunning, proper wrecking on ladle, partial and/or full repair, proper lining on EAF partial and/or full repair, casting of delta after leak test from alignment and checking completed by mechanical.<br><br>Remove and change of full EBT and/or End brick and re-piping.<br><br>Perform proper wrecking of EAF hearth and working lining.<br><br>Removing tundish covers and shifting Tundish to mechanical strand<br><br>Tilting the tundish and removing the excess material.<br><br>Prepare tundish for spraying.<br><br>Perform proper spraying of Tundish, proper drying of tundish after spray.<br><br>Repair/cast damage tundish covers and tundish permanent lining.<br><br>He shall maintain clear and open communication with his superior instructions for critical and non-routine jobs.<br><br>When in doubt, he must not send the ladle, report and wait for the instruction given by the superior to avoid unwanted incidents.
