The Company delivers the majority of the country’s crude oil production and natural gas supply.<p><br></p>Purpose of the Job<p><br></p><strong><u>This Role Has The Following Accountabilities, But Not Limited To</u></strong><p><br></p>The Purpose of this role is to support the Corporate Road Safety Team and PDO in successfully implementing the integrated Darb Al Salama Road Safety plan as well as its “Safe Driver” related actions as a key pillar in road safety strategy.<p><br></p><ul><li> Manage and Coordinate the implementation of the integrated Darb Al Salama Road Safety Plan</li><li> Develop and Manage the interface management Plan for a successful implementation of Darb Al Salama Plan</li><li> Deliver Monthly Darb Al Salama Progress to TDG/MDC and Respective concerned Managers and Deliver the same quarterly to HSE Board Sub-Committee</li><li> Act as an ambassador for Darb Al Salama and ensure full onboarding of relevant functions and support team delivery against Board Agreed Plan milestones</li><li> Ensure tracking of progress and create a monthly progress report as well as simple dash board to be shared and communicated with all relevant stakeholders (including, Shareholders, MDC and HSE Board Sub-committee)</li><li> Lead the internal and external communication activities in line with the Road Safety plan</li><li> Lead the driver welfare agenda and its correlation for safe behavior, including relations between Safe Driver – Safe Vehicle – Safe Road, and driver safe working environment.</li><li> Devlope and enhance drivers professionalism as a career ladder, as well as strengthening safety behavior.</li><li> Support development of driver awareness sessions focusing on hearts and minds concept</li><li> Understand technology that can improve driver behavior and mitigate drivers’ errors, including to prevention of fatigue.</li><li> Act jointly with MSE7 team members and pillar leads to orchestrate measures for effective implementation of road safety strategy.</li></ul><p><br></p>Education & Experience<p><br></p><ul><li> Professional qualification in road safety management or HSE studies or related to human preferably driver behavior studies;</li><li> Minimum of 10 years working experience with a minimum of 5 Years experience in the implementation of Road Safety or General Project Management Systems or human behavior and HSE portfolio; with a minimum of 2 years experience within an Oil & Gas exploration and production business.</li><li> Managerial and Interpersonal skills to enable to interact at all levels within the Organisation, Contractors and Government authorities in Arabic and/or English languages.</li><li> Experience in the management of Defensive Driving Training and/or Road Safety projects.</li><li> Knowledge and experience in road safety strategy development and implementation, road safety standards, In-vehicle monitoring systems and management systems.</li></ul><p><br></p>Main Responsibilities<p><br></p><ul><li>Manage contracts from Road Safety safe vehicle pillar.</li><li>Supervise HSE Road Safety team.</li><li>Lead road safety assurance activities</li><li>Support capability development of road safety team members</li><li>Liaise with OPAL and other road safety stakeholders.</li><li>Responsible and custodian of road safety standards.</li><li>Involve in the Road Safety on site(s) operations with related areas and/or workshops.</li><li>Develop a vehicle and tyre database, analyse submitted vehicle and tyre data and ensure weekly/bi-weekly and monthly reports being generated and passed to the relevant parties and MSEM Management Team via MSE/7.</li><li>Create a follow-up annual plan covering RSST activities for all PDO Contractors related to assurance on safe vehicles and workshops (RASIC, and tyre and/or maintenance) as per Contract agreements and PDO guidelines.</li><li>Attend on road and in yard spot-checks of vehicles safety, as well as maintenance records. Follow-up with Contract holders on closing the gaps related to A and B defects, and other noncomplinaces related to vehicles.</li><li>Ensure the RSST activities related to safe vehicles assurance are being executed as per the annual planned schedule(s) per area.</li><li>Attend RSST meetings and activities in various locations in coordination with other MSE7 team members.</li><li>Actively participate in analyzing vehicle safety equipment including after OEM installation (e.g. drivers’ fatigue/distraction devices, TPMS or retrofitting of vehicle safe systems ABS/EBS, etc.).</li><li>Support the team in root cause analysis in MVI investigation related to vehicle and vehicle load element (vehicle dynimics and relation to speed and road conditions).</li><li>Ensure all the submitted activities reports are being circulated to the relevant parties.</li><li>Lead In-House Training Providers Monthly meetings and act on any major issues raised.</li><li>Seek regular feedback from all involved in the contract activities as well as the end users, both internally within PDO staff community as well as the external parties.</li><li>Provider weekly reports to MSE/7 with all highlights and lowlights of all the contracts.</li><li>Develop and train Omanis to successfully perform safe vehicle assurance role.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong><u>Skills Required</u></strong><p><br></p>Other Job Details
