Job Description
<p>Backbone Network Engineer will be responsible for a large live running network which will include the transmission layer and IP layer</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>· Will be the first line of support for the field team to troubleshoot and assist in order to solving and develop long-term solutions</p><p>· Provide technical support for a large range of technical issues which includes monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting network problems within the Network Operation Control Centre</p><p>· Monitor the alarms conditions on the network to proactively identify and minimize disruption and impact to the backbone links in the networks and perform root cause analysis to determine a plan of action for restoring traffic</p><p>· Planning, designing, and implementing fiber optic links using DWDM technology</p><p>· Commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting OTN and ethernet protocols</p><p>· Working with DWDM/Ethernet field Testing (BER, Optical Loss measurements, OSNR, etc.…)</p><p>· Testing fiber links and dealing with the fiber testing tools</p><p>· Working with ODF, telecom equipment, ports, and labels</p><p>· Understanding of TCP/IP and OSI model and static and dynamic routing protocols</p><p>· Knowledge of IP networks</p><ul><li>· Providing Technical support 24×7 whenever the network faces an issue</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>· Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Networking, Information Technology, or a related field<strong> </strong></p><p>· CCNA Highly recommended</p><p>Fresh higher ranked Graduated is preferred </p><p> </p><p><strong>Must have skills in:</strong></p><p>· Fiber optic and telecom technology</p>
