<p><strong>MAJOR FUNCTIONS</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Perform all activities related to the fulfilment of material and service requirements in line with the Company’s standard process, including drilling and well services contracts. Support the team in developing the best contracting strategy that maximizes the spend value and protects Company’s assets and interests.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Contracting</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Conduct contracting business in compliance with Company contracts &amp; procurement guidelines and procedures.</li><li>Work closely with user departments to review the Scope of Work and advise them on improvements.</li><li>Develop contracting strategies to meet the client’s requirements and Lead category management initiatives in service procurement leading to agreements for major categories.</li><li>Perform all contract-related processes, viz. pre-qualification, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, drafting of contracts, contract administration &amp; close-out.</li><li>Maintain an updated database of contractors and suppliers for effective contracting and procurement.</li><li>Consider technical aspects when developing contracting strategies and evaluating proposals.</li><li>Prepare Invitations to tender and manage the tendering process and opening of bids.</li><li>Prepare award recommendations and obtain internal approval for contracts and procurement.</li><li>Initiate and manage changes, extensions, and/or amendments to the Contract and obtain necessary approvals.</li><li>Effectively communicate with internal customers and contractors and maintain bid and contract database with periodic reports.</li><li>Carry out Contractor Performance Evaluation</li><li>Evaluate critically all claims raised by Contractors and advise on the admissibility of claims and assume the lead role in dispute resolutions.</li><li>Assist Head of Supply Chain &amp; Contracts in reviewing processes, procedures</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Contract Compliance</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Develops and communicate the contract compliance program to all concerned within the organization</li><li>Monitoring and reporting on matters relating to compliance with the Company’s Agreements with external agencies/Government</li><li>Works with various departments to develop a compliance-related communication framework.</li><li>Prepares exception reports on non-compliance.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Health Safety Environment &amp; Quality Compliance</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Incorporate the Company’s HSE requirements in all contract documents to ensure the protection of the Company’s assets.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Continuous Improvements of Position</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry contracting and procurement-related initiatives and market trends/pricing. Takes ownership of the continuous development of personal and technical expertise and knowledge.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or MBA in Supply Chain management preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Professional Experience Required</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 10 years of contracting experience in an upstream oil &amp; gas company, preferably in drilling and plant operations.</li><li>MCIPS or Post Graduate qualification in Supply Chain Management preferred.</li><li>Excellent knowledge in preparation, negotiation, drafting and management of technical/operations contracts within the oil and gas industry.</li><li>Good commercial awareness and up-to-date knowledge of industry/regulatory contracting practices</li><li>Excellent Cost and forecasting skills.</li></ul>
